EdGun .30 Accuracy
Guys, how are the .30 Ed’s working out. Lots of reports on the .30 ED but nothing on the accuracy folks are getting. Is there something to be read into this?

i have seen long time ago in this forum some one has posted some pics of a metal stem/ air valve rod for Cricket not for Edgun, why some of you don’t try this idea?
i think by this way we will be survived from the stem broken forever ….. i believe Edgun owners can benefit from this idea…
the only best solution is producing a metal stem….
Im looking into it but there is a bit more than meets the eye to do this.
Group Buy! Seriously KalibrGun tried the metal/plastic combos ones for a while but got tired of replacing them and went all metal. Seems to make sense.
Unless there’s some special quality of the plastic (and I can’t think of any), an all-metal stem makes a lot more sense than ordering spares for the plastic ones.
A wooden one will work as well. Seriously – anyone with some Lathe skills can turn those in no time. Weird no one has done it yet …
That seems to make sense with as many broken plastic ones as we have seen – especially on .25 and above calibers. 😉

It’s tuned to 875 fps for 27 shots before it falls off the reg. I actually don’t think the hammer is hitting even as hard as my .25 R3 is. I believe the regulator extension is mainly responsible for the power boost with the 30 cal.
How fast is yours shooting…

It makes sense that the .30s are hitting the stem harder, I’m just hoping that it is not a regular maintenance issue. It also makes me think that turning my regulator down sooner would better; I was going to wait until I had 1500 pellets or so through it, but now I’m thinking that it would be better to turn it down now and reduce the hammer strike force earlier and hopefully prolong the life of the stem.
I have about a 1000 shots through my Standard 30 cal and it will do 1/2″ 5 shot groups at 50 yards once it was tuned and a few minor issues corrected. I have not shot it past that on paper.
I got a feeling that these 30’s are hitting the valve a lot harder and will be harder on the stems as a result.
Broken stem? That’s not good; hope it was just a fluke, because it seems way too early for something like that to happen.
Well it is 35 minuted since I said I would shoot some 75 yard stuff with the 30 at lunch and unfortunately I only got two shots off at 10 yards to check the scope and this !!! Got to order one from Tony. Sorry no luck here today. My gun has around 1000 shots fro reference.
PS: I hear you can get to the valve in other guns in 15 minutes, what could be easier, I had this out and measuring my stem in 5 minutes.
Please note that the mic’s are measuring the the nearest portion of the brass ferrel on that stem and if going all the way to the plactic it was 44.75 mm
