Edgun: Another erratic string shots
My .25 edgun long start shooting erratic like this earlier post http://www.talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26526. My reg were adjusted from stock 12′ to 7″ish CW and was shooitng a stady 910-920fps. It was shooting great for 4-5 fills until I notice it sound a little different and my POI start low, then right on then off. At first I though it was the winds causing it. Here is the chrony result below.

I think my reg is dead.

When I did the reg adjustment, temp were in the low 70*, now in the low 80*. If fps drop and stay constant that is good, from my string it look like the reg have some issue, it’s all over the places.
I will tear the reg down and give it a good clean or (check up), but will have to wait until the weekend. Also, what type of lubrication can I use to clean the/wash the regulator? Will WD-40 be ok?
What was weather temps like when you first tuned compAred to now?
I tuned my Matador 22 in 100* + summer temps for 885fps average and in winter 30* temps it slowed down to 810-820.
Just wondering if things are beating up there and now gun is running hotter (no pun intended)
My 25 started that kind of chrony run around 1500 pellets in. At 2500 it settled.
I would do the following.
1) Take out and clean the reg. Check all orings and make sure the washer stack is clean.
2) Adjust the reg from 7:00 to 8:30 or 9:00.
3) Back of the HST 2 turns and then fill to 200 bar.
4) Shoot 5 shots checking speed and start turning HST in 1/4 turn incraments until you find max speed.
With a little luck you will be in the 900 fps range and have a level shot string.

30min from now I will update with another refill from 200b and see what happen.
I think you need to check the o-rings from the reg.
It is not doing that much at this moment.
You can try to shoot it till 90 bar, when the reg is down its pressure.
Then fill it up agian, maybe it solved your problem.
Otherwise, go get your tools!

I used Ballistol to clean and divers silocone grease on Orings. Also used soft jawed slip joint pliers to tighten valve bodies components a bit tighter than I could by hand.
