Owl blind in left eye…
I am pretty sure Tony was in Moscow this past week so I am still confused as
to how he could have shipped the Matador… Something smells like BP….
On June 8th you asked if I knew anyone looking to sell a Matador and on
the 11th you had one delivered… Something is not adding up..
The day I contacted you I called Tony later that afternoon, the Matadors had arrived that morning, I paid him, and the rifle was in my hands by Thursday.
Sometimes good things happen to bad people!

Here’s the honest truth. I’m building my neighbor a 40′ wide, 20′ deep semi-circular shaped dock on the lake. She got a quote from a dock builder for $35K.
She couldn’t begin to afford that, and was ready to go to a much smaller rectangular dock. They just moved here from Chicago.
I told her I would build it for her and she could pay me whatever she wanted, as long as I got $1550.00 (does that price ring a bell?)
She agreed two weeks ago and I’ve gotten the pilings driven, the ten triple
2 X 8 X 10′ engineered beams glued, screwed, and bolted and mounted on the pilings. Yesterday I finished up mounting 96 joists on 12″ ctc.
Today I cut the semi-circular shape in the joists. Tomorrow I’m going to wire it for lights and start laying deck boards. I’ll be done with this baby by next Tuesday.
Knowing I was covered for the cost, I contacted Tony on Tuesday, he said the Matadors just arrived that morning. I immediately used Paypal, +4% and the Matador arrived Yesterday. I had to wait three days total from order to delivery, to get the rifle. 😀
I just lucked out….period. The money, the rifles, and the opportunity all came within a few days of each other.
Goat, this thing, with the new shroud, is more quiet than my Talon with the GTBJ shroud, and more quiet than my stock Matador. I said MORE quiet! All I hear is a very quiet “pink…” when the hammer releases the air and the next sound is the pellet hitting the target. Ed has said over and over that the loudest sound you hear on these new moderators is the pellet slap on target. The man’s telling the truth. My Matador has zero barrel noise. If I hadn’t heard the pellet slam into that tree, I would have certainly thought it misfired.
If the .25 is as quiet as Ed says, and he hasn’t overstated his product yet, then you are in for one hell of a pleasant surprise from that beast of a gun.
Incidentially, mine came with 200 bar already in the tube. All I had to do was unzip the case and put in a pellet. I couldn’t believe my ears when I fired it.
I’ll get some pics up soon. I’ve been working my butt off on that dock to pay for this thing. That’s a lot of dock for one man with one eye.

Hoot, If yours is dead silent, Are you sure that you finally managed to get some air in it?
My 22 cal standard is pretty quiet but not dead silent. I will be very happy if my 25 cal long version is quieter. I will be even happier when it comes in.
No scope mounts? You ordered a Matador, had to wait at least a month for it, and didn’t have scope mounts ready and waiting for it? Don’t give us no shit about being too busy playing with yourself to order some. You could have used one hand long enough to pick up a phone and order some.

Whatever it is, the damn thing is more quiet than my Marauder. Ed said the .25 are as quiet, perhaps more than the .22, I don’t see how. How much quieter than dead silent can you get? Of course, knowing Ed, if it can be done he’ll be the one to come up with it.
I can’t shoot the Matador till my 30mm/Weaver rings arrive. Then I can get fancy with the chrony.
Right now I’m tricking out my Crossman Custom Shop 2300, 14″ barrel, with 12gr Boss valve, CF shroud and red dot scope. This is a specialty piece for the local snakes. I collect the skins from the Water Moccasains and Copperheads and send them to Pab. He makes designer condoms out of them. PM him for prices and order forms. (He’ll need actual diameter and length for correct fit, so don’t lie!) For a bit extra, he can install a stainless zipper for those in a hurry. He carries a “Shim Kit” for you pencil dicks. The man thinks of everything! For guys with extra large prostates, he has a “Sewer Main” model that dumps any overflow away from the reproductive tract and into the woman’s sinuses! I don’t know how it works, but he said her nose will run for two to three days afterwards.

So, I ordered up a “chicken call” from Gander Mountain catalog this afternoon. I’m making a custom gillie suit out of cracked corn and coarse chicken grit.
I’ll call them in, wait till one of them yawns….then shoot it’s bottom beak off, and let it die slowly, painfully, from starvation. From above, the old bitch can only see the top of the beak and think all is well. Meanwhile, the pullet is going through the agony of the damned on its forced starvation diet. This will work because no one I know ever checks a chicken’s bottom beak! AND…you just know that anytime you shoot off half of somethings pecker, it’s going to end badly!
