For $600 + you could get BSA R10, A few more $ with more shots and better accuracy

Jamie posted some very respectable 100 yard groups but, he did a LOT of work on the gun to get them. The fact that he is a lifer in the Marines has nothing to do with his shooting ability!

If I had 10-20 years of someone teaching me how to shoot, I could make a Crossman (oops, I should have said Benjamin) look good also. I never had any body to show me how to shoot, I don’t think that I do too bad with my Edguns.

Until you spend big money for a quality air rifle, you will never understand.

BSA Lonestar?
2nd handed AA S410?

Saying it`s “possible” and you believe me is a contradiction wouldn`t
you say?Have you heard the expression contempt prior to investigation?
.25 Marauders are well known for their accuracy.I have a .22m-rod with
a LW barrel, hdd, total cost about $700 and its very accurate.Point
being a gun doesn`t have to cost xxxxx dollars or be a xxxxx to be
accurate. What do you think would be a better buy for $600 ?
regards mark

Mark, that’s possible and I believe you..
But I can give you xxxxx Edguns, xxxxxx Theobens, xxxxxx AA’s that are ALL accurate.
One or maybe a couple out of 10000 is not worth looking at. If you want to spend 600$, there are other options.

Seen a few .25 Marauders on the yellow that are very accurate.
One in particular owned by Jamie(USMC shooter)posted 100yd
groups about as good as I`ve seen. Not saying its an Edgun but
for the money I think they`re a great deal.Green Mountain makes
a pretty nice barrel

the Benjamin Marauder .25 This should keep me entertained until I hopefully become a proud owner of the Edgun…

Trying to get it half as accurate as an edgun, yes.. It will keep you entertained that long 🙂

So Leupold has also been mentioned to me a few times, how does this compare to Night Hawk?

Sidenote: These expensive ones are most of the time only sharp from +50 yards! That’s maybe not interesting for you?

Interesting…

I won’t hi jack the thread so thanks for all the info guys!

So after in talks with Tony, I was told to contact him in a few weeks before I can place deposit due to not enough info on the long barrel .25 I’m bummed but patiently waiting. Just to give you guys an idea on how patient I am, I ordered a camera and waited 2 1/2 years to receive it 😀 hopefully that won’t happen with Edgun.

Once again being a rookie to air rifles, google is my best friend. Read all kind of reviews and yes mind boggling. I kind a liked (if I recall correctly) the Prairie Falcon? Had some nice reviews as well as the stock being imported from Italy. Yes I got a little bias when I read that! I simply love this culture and their passion for cars, clothing, food and women :). Just for the record i don’t have an ounce of Italian blood in me. But I do own a few Benelli’s and the tactical M4 with collapsible stock before it was banned! Not to mention a Ducati 1198. Ok I’ll stop…

So in the meantime I purchased Falcon .177 from my local sporting good store and about to pull the trigger on the Benjamin Marauder .25 This should keep me entertained until I hopefully become a proud owner of the Edgun…

More expensive, but also much better!

I have the TAC 30 6.5-20×42 in my Edgun too in .22 and it’s very good, but when you look trough a leupold or swarovski, you’ll now why they are so expensive!

Sidenote: These expensive ones are most of the time only sharp from +50 yards! That’s maybe not interesting for you?

Thanks for the reply oldgoat! I’ll be sure too look into that scope and software, sounds interesting. I’m a newb to air rifles, but have a nice collection of 223’s and 308’s. I was interested in a scope for my LWRC REPR but never followed through with it, I think now is a good time.

So Leupold has also been mentioned to me a few times, how does this compare to Night Hawk?

I have a Hawke Tactical 6.5-20 x 42 on my R2.5 25 cal long version. I have one waiting to be installed on my R3 25 cal long just as soon as it gets to me.

Hawke has some software (Chairgun) you have to plug in chrony data and other info and, if you can get an accurate range from your rangefinder, the software will give you mil dot ranges out to 137 yards at 20 X. If you have an IPnone, there is a Chairgun app for it. I use it all of the time.

Couple of weekends ago, I was at a buddies place and was challenged to hit a 3″ square stump that was sticking out of the water. It lasered at 183 yards. I used the IPhone app and it said that 183 was just below the first mil dot box at 8 X. I hit the stump the first 4 shots, missed the next one and then hit the next 5 shots.

First time I had tried shooting that far. Edgun, Hawke and Chairgun made it look easy!

Hi everyone, I’ve been surfing the web looking for a nice air rifle when I finally found the gun I wanted 🙂 Been sifting through posts on this forum and came across a few threads that kind of worried me a bit. Zoco has placed an order for sometime and still no gun. I absolutely have no problem waiting as long as I’m given some sort of eta. So I email Tony and he was quick to respond to my questions.

I’m hoping to place an order for the edgun .25 caliper.

So what’s the scope this beast deserves?

Long waiting times for air rifles is making everyone nervous. Especially, when payment is done, for sure.

But how it was mentioned, I made my experiences about ordering a custom made big bore air pistol. And yes, in the beginning, I was really impatient.

It’s true, that the builder of the gun is not answering any e-mails any more. That is a point, which should be improved regarding customer satisfaction and customer care.

Nevertheless, some guys from this forum here had contact to him. Also, I noticed, that he’s delivering some of the placed orders (not mine at all).

The whole story is posted in another thred.

Due to the comments, which were posted, I got down and have more patient, because I’ll get a one of a kind pistol.

And tha is the same running with the EDGuns in my opinion. 😉

So zocoloco, you will get yours and will be very very happy to shoot it !!! 😀

I’m looking forward hearing about your shooting experiences with the Ed’s…..

With all due respect guys, – may I suggest that any discussions related to my ongoing little story is being posted in the other thread ? 😀

Running two paralell threads on the same subject may only lead to more confusion I think……. 😉

But then I am not a moderator, – so please forgive me being “bossy”…. 😳

😀

This is your words Kglad99:

i’ve been lusting for an edgun for about 3 months

Well man, if you can lust for something 3 month why then you can wait something for 3 month.
And after all I wait my Matador only 3 weeks after paid for gun. 😉
Yes, it can be faster delivery, but who cares about that after you get Matador in your hands 😆 😆 😆

for me, there’s a significant difference between waiting 3 months with no money risked and waiting 3 months after payment is made.

i make every payment i can using a credit card. if i don’t receive a product/service, i dispute the charge. i’ve always been protected from financial loss this way.

i’d be afraid of making a payment and only months later, disputing the charge, if there was a problem.

Zoc is you! 😀

Not saying your the issue with the whole rifle and location thing. Sorry, not what was intended at all.

You case is one of a ‘perfect storm’ as it were… Loss of exporting abilities from Russia, european vacation, Germany distributors.

The largest disconnect appears to be the guys in Germany but it’s such a crazy mess I haven’t tried to pass any judgement since i’m not willing to get that far into it. Your a reasonable fellow so what you have posted is what i’m tending to believe in this situation. What really has me scratching my head is that other european customers have received their rifles and you haven’t…

From what I have gathered so far your not referring to Ed as the liar right? 😕

Either way it’s a mess that once cleaned up everyone will benefit!

Hopefully it won’t take another year! 😯
