Buy one from Sweden and get it send to their Belgian adress. I can assist you if you want help on this end ( although the BC is ugly;)) so in that case just PM me.

EdGun is actually cheaper in US so moneywise you´re better off with imported one. Taxes in Europe, i assume.
A Cricket and especially FX is another matter though.
Sir Vile, I certainly agree with you on the timing of the visit, however my son married a girl from Belgium this year, and her parents invited us over to spend the holidays. They are Americans, but teach school in Belgium, and they have time off at Christmas whereas during the summer they travel back to the US to visit and spend the summer. Plus, my son and his wife will be in Belgium, and his wife can assist us as a tour guide, since she speaks even a couple more languages than you have mentioned you speak.
Now, if it were possible to purchase a FX Bobcat, with the newly designed stock, (which I know you absolutely love, due to the beauty of the stock) and import it back into the U.S. I’d do that in a heartbeat!
I was under the impression that you could get around the vat tax if you could prove you were not citizen and exporting it home. I learned this when I was considering fx and found out there were no were near as expensive there. Wrong, I may be.

Headed to Europe for Christmas and New Years, but then going to San Destin, Fl for the remaining part of the winter here. I love the gulf, and my son is stationed at Eglin AFB so that is a big draw. My wife just needs to retire so she can go with me! I will be in the Netherlands in a couple of weeks which is close to where the Edguns are made, (Estonia) and if I could get one there, and then get it to the USA somehow, I’d be all over it!

It’s a trade-off. 6 months of very cold weather -vs- 3 months of hot weather. Quite frankly I’ll take the hot weather as there is air condition. Additionally, you need to live above the Gulf Stream and hurricane belt on the east coast. The Melbourne area thru St. Augustine has the best year round weather. Check it out!

It’s way too hot and humid for a Midwesterner IMO in the summer. Ok from about November through about March when the hurricanes are quiet but then I am heading north. It’s also really built-up since I was going there as a kid. We used to go to Sanibel Island frequently when there was a wild life refuge (I still had a bb gun there – lol) and a few camp grounds. Now it is end-to-end condos. We did the vacation thing there two years ago in early June when the kids could go and it was like a sauna. :1:

So would mine. I actually had quite far gone plans on buying a smaller house near Port St Lucy, FLA. The damned accident put those plans to rest- for now at least. I was looking around for houses and condo´s while i was visiting a friend of mine who lives in outskirts of Ft. Lauderdale. I love the weather there although summertime may be too much for a Scandinavian..

My wife would drive to Florida in a second if I asked. She hates the cold weather here in Missouri and would love to move there permanently.
Some people here in Russia sometimes drive up to 1’000 kms, just to come to me to have chance to pick up the gun themselves. One of them, I remember, tested over 30 guns before to choose one he likes and then he choose the stock himself as well.

Eduard is really nice guy, he is serious on that, last year when we were discussing about the way how to ship my gun to my country, i told him that my wife & i have plan to visit Eu specially Estonia the place that he is manufacturing his great Edguns, he invited me to go for parachute operations, i told him that i haven’t tried it in my life but he told me that he can get me a trainee in his friend’s place…
but by chance we (my wife & i ) decided to go to live in another city and i had to buy a new house then i spent all my money and changed plan, but still i keep it in my mind, i am waiting for the new year Bonus and Increment to visit Eu and spend almost 2 weeks there… God Willing …hopefully…
BTW; Edgun is deserving a travel from US to Russia ….
Why not. Trip at the end of the summer/beginning of fall, I can prepare many guns to choose from, we can make a party, go for hunting and fishing, Russian banya etc, etc, etc, 🙂

Just got new tracking number no pickup yet. We’ll see if this one works. UPS already said all deliveries this week are backlogged due to the storms.
