Q:

Edgun Spares ———–> No Response @ Two Months

Hi Ed,

Its been a month I have been following up on the spares. I wrote to Tony initially, as the Veles was bought from him. Tony has been very prompt in replying to me and informing me that the request has been forwarded to the manufacturer for the quote.

The first mail I had sent to Tony was on the 1st September and many follow up post that. last I heard from Tony was to follow up from the manufacturer.

I still haven’t received a quote for the spares I had requested.

So tying to reach you Ed, I did post on the below feedback link too.

http://edgun.ru/en/doc/feed.php

All I got was a response that you would look into it.
That was a week back.

I have spent about $3000 in Edgun, but what is the use if we cannot get spares for our guns ???

Trust me, I had to sacrifice a lot of my other stuff to spend this amount in your products. I am really set back with the poor response.

l am hoping that you would see this thread and reply.

Order a new gun in “kit form” without the stock. Or save your money until the gun breaks.

Update: Buy a springer as a backup when your Edgun is waiting for a replacement part. ๐Ÿ™‚

With that amount of spare parts, might as well buy a spare gun (s) ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

If you sell your EdGun, just let me know.
Tks

Hi Tony,

I never said I just ordered for O-Rings, Did I ?

I did mention spares, and you can even see the reply made on this topic on the earlier post, where Adam asked me what I was looking for.

I do not own a lathe and don’t think its worth, buying a lathe, learning and making those parts for myself to enjoy the hobby of airgunning.

Things are not so easy for me and nor would I have the time to do so, and this is where we look up to the manufacturer for service.

I never said I want to have it right know.

Seeing my request, the manufacturer could definitely say that it is not in stock and I would have to wait for “x” days to get it running for me.

You donโ€™t just sell a product and leave your customers in the dark, or leave requests unanswered.

For even basic stuff I have been dependent on the forum and have been buying from Tony / Adam or Airforce and many members have helped me too. It cost me a fortune to get small things shipped to my place but I live with it because I wouldnโ€™t be able to do the task with the expertise that Tony/Adam and others do. That is when we look upto them.

Tony form “Talontunes “does a lot of mod work and he would say that this work would take “x” time so I wait and then follow up on the same.
But he does commit dates or would say he is busy at the moment and would look into it as soon as he is free with his orders. He has never failed a commitment.

Adam has been prompt with all his deliveries, be it small or big.

Any product sold must have after sales service , or thatโ€™s the way I look at it. And for an expensive product like the Edgun, I would surely expect more than this.

๐Ÿ˜ฏ That is quite an insurance policy – I think it may be a better idea to just buy a “spare” gun. ๐Ÿ˜€

Just to make it clear for everyone we are not taliking about a couple of o-rings.
This is what was ordered (circled) plus: 4 sets of all the O-Rings in the Veles and 4 sets of all screws and locks used in the Veles.

I have Ed’s email id from his home page so I have written to him too.

I get a bounce back notification when I write to Ed’s email from my personal id, and that is when I use the feedback section on his home page and I know for sure he gets my responses through his home page.

Its not just Edgun products……

I have 2 of the Airforce airguns and I have most of the spares for the same….
Airforce has been very prompt and so have all the forum members in helping me learn a lot towards getting things sorted.
I am not comparing two products, so please dont get me wrong there.

The laws in our country are pretty damn strict and changes with every political leader that comes his way…
I dont want to end up in a situation where I have 3000$ worth Airguns, in a condition that cant be used.

Sending it to Ed or Tony for repairs doesn’t stand a chance because export or sending it out of the country is in restricted category. Besides it will cost me a fortune even if I manage to arrange a way out.

It took me more than 22 days after the airforce condor had reached my country with all papers being in place.

I had to skip office for 4 days and run behind the custom officers to get things done. Paying them extra $$$ was an add on.

With my past experiences on imports and the way things are moving, I wouldn’t be surprised if imports were completely restricted to those who have an import license.

That is another vital reason why I want to have the spares….. I have put in some hard earned money for both the Edgun’s. I donโ€™t want to see it lying around in a unusable condition.

I know this thing is made like a tank, but I just cant take my chances for the money I have spent.

Just the Veles costed me 1500$ to my door so thatโ€™s the kind of money I am talking about…….

Ed please do understandโ€ฆ

I’m with Nasser. Ed, where are you? ๐Ÿ™‚

Mistman, you may want to try contacting Ed through the Edgun.ru forum or his youtube page (theedgun). I have had better luck with those two than with email.

ted

I believe, Ed does not sell parts, this maybe the reason why he does not want to respond.

I honestly think Ed should come forth & resolve this matter especially since its been taking two month, and i am sure no one of us would be happy if were in his shoes.

I personaly havent had any issues yet with ordering spare parts but as i understand it, its a little tough to get them out of Russia

But i thought i would help cause this is what this forum is all about, to help one another.

All am asking Ed ….. is for the dates…..
Agree it could take a while before he could arrange them, but I would
expect a prompt reply on the delivery front.

I have been writing mails every week since…..

What good is it, if you buy a product and cannot buy spares?

Hope you agree that this is a fairly expensive air rifle.

I am not debating on the performance and truly agree with all and go by the same opinion on the way its been built.

Isn’t 2 months a fair enough time to drop a one line reply and say it would take “x” days or months and cost “y” for the spares.

Tony the representative for US has always been prompt in his replies. My request was forwarded to the manufacturer too on time.

The delay has been from the manufacturer.

Agreed its a one man army, but that doesn’t deprive his customers from requesting spares…. ๐Ÿ™

quote WalkonKing:

Just buy another EdGun for spare parts ๐Ÿ˜€

There you go ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Just buy another EdGun for spare parts ๐Ÿ˜€

The request was dispatched to Ed the day I received it from you.

That Edgun is built like a russian tank.

You probably could shoot it for 25 years before something wears out. Since you are in India it probably would be a good investment to buy a lathe and learn how to make the parts you need.

If Ed dropped dead the only way you can get a part is to make it or have it made.
