Too many problems with Edguns. As defender of the forum, tcmalker cannot recommend buying one.
Oldgoat,
Most people do not know the exact length of their rods so sending them a short one and later finds out that it does not work is sure going to happen. In that case, just post a wanted to trade on the section of the forum, i am sure someone will obliged. I would.
I contacted Tony to purchase some valve stem, he requested me to give him length and dimension.
I am not readily to dismantle my gun to give him the measurement. I was at work. I am sure many members here may not be inclined to do it.
I am sure many are not happy dealing with Tony due to his famous one word response email request.
I am willing to buy 40, 50, heck even 80 valve stems to stock in hand and will deliver to members that needs them for backup.
For members that already had a broken stem and their gun is apart. They can send in the request with measurement, then I will send the exact match or the next size up.
Hoot, just please contact Tony and ask for as many as you can, tell him we are doing a group buy so he does not have to deal with hundreds of emails requesting valves and mess with measurement. He only has to do one package, one shipment, much easier for him.
I am sure many members will like the idea because they do not have to deal with one word response emails. I will back you up. No worries.
Thanks Oldgoat for the verification on the valve stems. I can almost assume that one size fits all, with an exception that you may have to cut or grind down the length to match.

HOOT, I currently have 5 air valve rods. The steel ends vary in length, the derlin ends are all about the same length.
I have bought 10-12 air valve rods from Tony over the last few years, all of them have had the steel end that was longer than the broken air valve rod that needed replaced. I just cut them to length as needed.
Over the years, I have sent a few of them out to guys that needed one when Tony was out of them. The guys had to cut the βemergencyβ shipped air valve rod down to fit their gun.
None of them had a problem fitting the longer rod to their gun.
It is easy to cut the end of the steel rod to match the length of the broken one. I actually prefer the air valve rods to be longer than the broken one that needs replaced. I can then cut the replacement to the same length as the broken one.
My last 25 cal R3 and my 30 cal R3 both use an air valve rod that is much shorter on both ends than the 5 air valve rods that I have in stock.
I am ABSOLUTELY certain that the 5 over length air valve rods that I have in stock can be cut to size and used in any of my Matadors!
AFAIK, there is no difference in air valve rods between .177, 22, 25 and 30 cal Matadors. The only difference is that the R2.5s and early R3 Matadors use a longer air valve rod.
My latest 25 cal R3 and my 30 cal R3 air valve rods have the same OD on the steel end and derlin ends as my early R3 and R2.5s. The only difference is the length of the steel and derlin ends.
HOOT, just order the longest air valve rods that Tony can get for you. People can easily cut the longer air valve rod down to size. If you order the shorter air valve rods for the latest R3s, the guys with the early R3s and R2.5s will be really pissed off to find that their air valve rod wonβt work in their gun!
HOOT, I wouldnβt like to see what little good; if any, reputation that you still currently have here damaged further by your ordering too short air valve rods for some of the Matador owners!
Hey guys, I’m thinking if we could get at least 5 members per model to post valve stem measurements it would settle some of the confusion.
:angrymob:
So, for those who already have measurements why don’t we help our brothers out
I have the R3 25 cal. long. the measurements for mine is as follows:
Plastic (33.50mm) long
Metal shaft (42.22mm) long
Metal shaft diameter (2.00mm)
I’m sure when your airguns are for sale they will all be perfect and you’ll know every single part in them after improvements without even knowing which version a person has… π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π π
For R3M .22, I have stem metal length 42mm and OD 2mm, plastic part is 34mm. Just for your reference.
If you morons would quit sending me PM’s ordering the valve stems, perhaps I could get a final number…
I think this will be the last day. All other orders will have to wait.
The real trick is to see what hoops need to be jumped through to get payment to Tony and valves sent out…
Tomorrow I will try to get some info out.

Brothers, sisters, transgenders… fear ye not what details Tony doth demand. For verily Sir Hoot: has determined that caliber and model doth suffice. Whilst Old No. 7 will, of needs be, calm yon valiant knight.
:hoot: hath sworn an oath to supply said valve stems in his own script. Would such a man lie? (Though prostrate, the spirits do their work with haste.) Nay, best we wait, an anxious mob :angrymob: to hear what is required of us.
Sir :hoot: , pray thee hath not abandoned thine quest!

Muggs, you have an R3 .25 long correct? Could you post the measurements you sent to Tony so others with the same Edgun won’t have to tear their guns down? Thank you
btw – I ordered my valve stems. :smilen: I picked up just a couple of 30 cal but I will order the .25s with the group buy.
Do we need to disassemble our guns and get these measurements to place an order for valve stems?
Thanks
That would really suck! πΏ
WTF, the maker or distributor of the gun doesn’t know the measurement of one of their parts? How stupid crazy is that? Especially, Ed, come on bro. You should know!

Dude,
Let these guys deal with their rifles without this kind of input.
