eunjin .25 accuracy
My condor shoots kings and predators extremely well, but I want to try something heavier. So I tried eunjins (domed and pointed) very disappointing results; 2inch groups on 20yards.
What is needed to shoot them accurate??? Is it the barrel, or also the fps or something else?
They don’t fit easy, I have to use a coin but that isn’t uncommon I read.

Never had any luck with those Jins whatever barrel I tried. The Surefire(Jerry) slugs on the other hand performed very well. I tested them as far as 80 yards and had very good results. Shot a rabbit with one at about 50 yards. It didnt make it any deader, but it sure as hell made a big thud as it passed through him.

I could live with 1 inch group at 50yards. So I probably don’t have the right barrel for the eunjins.
Are the surefire slugs less barrel picky? What can I expect at 50 yards?
I was getting a constant 1″ group at 50y with them.
Gearhead, what type of Penetration oil? You gotta be careful with certain ones.
Yeah its hard or just luckey .but my .25 loves them. I can shot really good groups IV taken many little Critters any ware from 40 yards to about 120 with the 43 grain. But I guess I’m a luckey one. Oh I have mine covered in penatration oil.
I think resizing them would make a world of difference with them

It is rare if anybody gets good results with EunJin pellets.
It is even more rare if they get consistent results with EunJin pellets. Even pellets from the same lot vary from tin to tin.
There are exceptions. A few shooters have had great luck with Polygon rifled barrels, I did not. 🙁
Ive had cloverleaf clusters one group, then shotgun patterns the next.
In theory, they are great hunting pellets. In reality, they are just so-so because you have to hit your target to prove their worth.
A few years ago on the Yellow forum, I saw a .20 cal shooter had designed a sizing die from a .20 barrel, and he got really impressive results. He was also trimming the skirts while they were in the die. Seemed odd to me, but his targets were impressive.

The for sale post regarding the ring slugs has a lot of frequently asked questions answered on the first post/page. You should be able to get a good feel for if the slugs will work in your gun by reading that.
As far as accuracy goes, the slugs have generated many good reports from folks with appropriate guns. I really like the evil laugh feedback… However, it takes power to drive them so it takes a particular set-up to shoot them well, you can’t just set the gun to shoot 25.4gr JSBs well and then notice a coyote and drop in a 9 ring….
