In the past, YN referred folks to do thier research, read past posts, learn from what has already been written. He was not as polite as some would have preferred, but he was effective.
So where is the Yellow Ninja/School Marm/Vicious Nun with a ruler we all loved and respected? Must we simple folk do his dirty work?
If he’s abdicated his duties as the HEAVY do we need to find a new bastard at large?

an idiot, couldn’t see the forest for the tree’s bein’ a noob to the site, I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of info that you all share I’m a fair to middlin’ cnc machinist with my own shop ,but obviuosly couldn’t see it til Adam pointed it out slapping me in the face at the top of the posting sticky’s. I think the noobs are great…. since I am one.. how many shots per fill doesnt bother me one bit.. NOT everyone has the time to sit around on the ‘puter doing search after search after search..people like to ask direct questions and people like to answer them..if you dont want to answer the noob question turn the channel..
I BET..over HALF of the post on here have been asked 8-10 times. There has never been a post on here with out someone hi jacking it and getting off on another subject..just think of all the neat discussions we have here because of one noob question.. 😉
How long do you have to be here before you say things like….”WE do thing differently” as opposed to…..”you do things differently”. When does one become one of “us” as opposed to a “new guy”??? I haven’t even been here a year and feel like I know some of you who I don’t know at all.

I think it perfectly fair for all who happen onto TAG to be shown the entrance
to the sticky section.
The way I see it: I’f you’re willing to a) put the time and effort into the rifle
and b) spend the $s to be part of this exclusive club 😉 (a point of
entry itself), one should be willing – nay, INTERESTED! – in reading the
voluminous wisdom/knowledge found in TAG threads of yore.
However… Once that font of knowledge has been tapped, if you can’t find
what you need therein, by all means POST the question; just let the folks
herein know you’ve done your homework prior to the post.
Pretty straight forward to me:
1. Do your homework.
2. Don’t find what you need?
3. Then ask the question.
And prepare to get peppered and harassed. Heck, it’s part of your hazing…

If a new guy asks questions he should be looking up then just refer him to search or quick reference.
Lets leave the ass kicking to those who have been here for awhile. New guys can join in after a while to a good ole dog pile.
But just like a librarian has to say ” Look it up in the card file” a hundred times a day so is the nature of a forum.
I am all for ass whoppings but let the new guys settle in first before we make them feel like shit 😀

TOG is a red headed stepchild no one loves…
TAG on the other hand…. You get what you put in is my experience. You come here, ask a question and disappear into the ether once you have answer in hand without any work. Then you don’t get the full TAG experience of having pictures posted alleging to be of yourself in compromising positions. You wont get cool free stuff from other people crazier than yourself. You also will never experience the drink through the nostril laughter when you read some crazy messed up shit. Then there are the bitch slaps and fights we all know and love (well I do anyway) that can go on for weeks and years in fact if you count Oykas’ little love obsession with Tony.
