Just wanted to share pics of my Cricket Compact .177 in walnut. The wait was painful but well worth it.

I stayed close to this but with a step up in wood as possible but walnut of course. I wanted enough forearm and grip. The wood trigger guard could be a bit thicker. I told him it is fine is the cost goes up a bit for the better wood. What the heck. 🙂 It has to be better than a Lelya stock. I tried one and didn’t care for it. I guess you can get used to it maybe? :confusedn:

I would definitely change up the grip if I were you. If it’s anything like the original Mutant grip, it’s on the skinny side. I don’t care much for the trigger guard either. That would definitely break in my opinion. I would ask for a slot to make my own trigger guard.

It’s some where, on the Taipan sub-form.
It was a copy of the Taipan stock, with a different kind of wood.
But it was not Walnut.
He said I could have one the same yours at half price since he had already done it. 😯

I sent him a picture of a similar walnut I was looking for if not too outrageously expensive as well. I am sure it will be good. They grade the blanks similar to us from what I read. I am pretty sure that is English walnut but I might be wrong. It could be Turkish. It’s a custom stock so I went for the gusto.
He has some good walnut, you’ll be happy.

A bit different and a bit different wood. We will see what comes in the pictures. I don’t think any two are the same. I offered to pay a bit more for some special walnut.

Well Michal says that stock pattern I picked would go $300-400 for the select walnut blank alone so I cut it back a bit. 😯 😀 It seems the select grades of walnut are similar to here (plain and 5 grades of fancy and exibition) and the picture was a very good grade. I still went up a grade and look forward to the pictures. 😉
