FX .30 Impact in the house in silver
Wow I’m impressed so far, only had 30 min to mess with it.
Love the telescoping shroud ( air tight with no slop ) slide out over 7″ so the OAL is from 29 7/8″ to 36″, it’s quieter then a 9mm cricket at 70fpe with shroud fully extended. Out of the box shooting the 44g at 860fps in max on power wheel in minimum 615fps.

has a guage showing the current reg pressure—great for adjusting the pressure.
Feels vary solid — no noticeable flexing.
The trigger is no better then the 400,500&boss, the lowest I can get the trigger to go off on the 2nd stage break is 1 lbs 2oz you go lower then that the blade will not reset forward. I can live with it— knowing me I’m going to mess with it.
That’s all for now, when I get done with all the tunes before Xmas (Zunk also)I will make full video in disassembly, repair and tuning and making custom parts.

Some one over seas was talking about that air leak in that general area also a few weeks ago. Not sure how he had it fixed….
I was right it has a long VS assembly, so here’s a video of that leaky oring, couldn’t find a small oring to replace it but temp fix by lapping some talon tape under the oring till i got the right resident. Tested sat so far with no blow back of air—maybe enough time till I find a right oring size, but I also mention that to Fredrik and his sending me some orings — but if the new oring has blow by a larger oring is needed or a ID oring in the rear block–but don’t think so—thats going to be a small oring groove to cut.
Must be nice to have a guy like Ernest do free R&D for your products. Kalibergun got a free redesign and now FX. I double dog dare you guys to find a thread where the user redesigned a Sako TRG. Why does this BS only exist in expensive PCP guns? Whatever! Thanks Ernest for the hard work without you doing stuff like this we airgunners would be up a creek
Yes overall I really like the designed—-> now lets look at that air blast near my cheek, the way it looks it has a long VS running forward to aft so I would think the rear of the VS need atmospheric pressure to be efficient so that’s why the end of the VS is in view on the photo, on FX 400 and up action VS has an oring and I would think this has an oring–maybe it’s damage or the metal sealing surface has imperfection of some kind or needing a larger oring, find out when I get a change to inspect and see how hard it is to change that oring.
Ernest, the air gun community as a whole, owes you a big THANK YOU. No body should suspect your motives or skills at giving an complete review of any air gun, but I’m sure you will be in the cross hairs for the next few days.
I agree the Impact is the current leader in design and offers the shooter the widest range of options in one system. I like it, I will love it when you are done with your review with needed corrections.
I also admire Fredrick for reaching out to you and owning any issues the current version of the impact may have!! This whole process seems to me like an a lot of drama but necessary. In the end the Impact will be a better product and perhaps the best of FX.

Every airgun I’ve own had issues from Edgun, Cricket, Vulcan, Colibri and Mutants. The Impact is no different and is on my radar for future purchase. Glad the majority of the manufactures stand behind their products and offering a resolution. Great job Ernest and props to Fredrick for making that call.
main goal is to have the MFR to take notice and investigate and make corrections to make the Air gun as functional as it can be.
That said—-> Fredrik is the only one that called me and apologized and offered to replace the barrel and corrective action has been corrected on the issue. Now that’s a man that really care about his product and reputation.
Ok, back to testing the impact and will fully disassemble and see how she look inside, also there is a puff of air coming out the rear VS that getting to me—-see if the small oring is intact.
I review AG that I like, and no dealer or mfr has no say so in what I can and cant say in finding issue with there AG’s.

more groups at 75, 50, 40y all pellet are weighted. if you don’t the weight can vary from 43 to 46g and will affect the POI at 40y and up
50Y—think that’s a pulled one on the bulls eye and a filer and the 1st group

Did you enlarge the transfer port in your barrel Ernest or did it come from FX with it machined right into the rear O ring groove like it is? 😯

I agree Zonk is used to not having a Vulcan to shoot. He even got a nice stock put on the cricket. See I told you. I’m sure he even forgot Ernest has his gun
