FX .30 Impact in the house in silver

Wow I’m impressed so far, only had 30 min to mess with it.

Love the telescoping shroud ( air tight with no slop ) slide out over 7″ so the OAL is from 29 7/8″ to 36″, it’s quieter then a 9mm cricket at 70fpe with shroud fully extended. Out of the box shooting the 44g at 860fps in max on power wheel in minimum 615fps.

14 shot mag!!!!!!

has a guage showing the current reg pressure—great for adjusting the pressure.

Feels vary solid — no noticeable flexing.

The trigger is no better then the 400,500&boss, the lowest I can get the trigger to go off on the 2nd stage break is 1 lbs 2oz you go lower then that the blade will not reset forward. I can live with it— knowing me I’m going to mess with it.

That’s all for now, when I get done with all the tunes before Xmas (Zunk also)I will make full video in disassembly, repair and tuning and making custom parts.

Stop show casing your new darling. I have better things for you today so get on your hat a jacket and a nice pair of shooting gloves get in your Vehicle don’t forget the Easy Pass and get out to LONG ISLAND to show me how that fandagled Super Soaker Works. Don’t worry about Zonks Side action Zonker gun! He got plenty of stuff to mess with.

OK Then, but that a look at this CF show case!!

Hey Ernest, i’m surprised your gauge reads exactly 150 psi, quiet a few people have already commented that there gun was set up running hot +5 or more psi. Did you do anything to the gauge to make it read 150 psi?

I think the accuracy of the gauge is + or – 10b so NO didn’t adjust the reg to read 150b, I think its a good all round pressure.

Here’s a detail in how the valve stem adjuster knob works for fine tuning;

At current 150b regulated pressure on the guage and power adjuster wheel on Max and VS knob at 11.00mm out from the shoulder she max out at 860fps with 45g.

The white line marker on the VS knob are just a reference line to me, if you go over 11mm caliper reading you will be wasting air in term you are loosing shot count, because your speed will no longer increase and your letting the VS open longer.

I made a spacer at 11mm so I can set it at max position on the wheel at 860fps, I don’t need all that power and want it to max out at 800fps so I made another spacer at 10.52mm and turned the knob in till it stop on the spacer, now if some reason I want to go back to 860fps I use the 11mm spacer.

With the spacer I don’t need a crony, using the line isn’t accurate enough—you could be off more the 1/2 turns using the line markers.

I’m sure you can get great results using the line marker, I’m just using a technic that’s more accurate.

If your gun is shooting vary accurately at a set speed and weight of pellet you can adjust the VS to the power wheel marker—let so #5—-now you know # 5 is 823fps !

No I didn’t. Ernest is building me a secret bullpup made from scratch and it’s a new widcat pellet that he’s been working on for 12 years. After all his R&D he’s finally perfected this new and exciting bullpup. I can’t wait to see it. He’s asked me if I wanted to be the first to have one and I said HELL YES who wouldn’t?? Can’t wait. As soon as I get it I’ll post a picture of it.

Zonk, you got an impact? What cal or caliber’s?

When you get done with that one Ernest you know which one to do next……………….. 😀

Hi Zonk, not going to totally disassemble the Impack yet till I finish all the tune i have now and not taking anymore till the new YEAR.

Start on your this weekend.

When you get done with that one Ernest you know which one to do next……………….. 😀

The cocking handle to small and slippery for my liking so I made a press on sleeve that is fiber inbeded Delrin so not that slippery — little fatter and longer—now it feels great cocking this work of Art.

Jesus, give him time! :angrymob:

Anything new Ernest

Got my Single shot tray made out of Acetal Delrin, makes testing a lot easier, can de-cock without double loading un-like the mag, can view pellet for proper loading and sometime I like single loading.

Come up with a magazine that does not cost $100… maybe $50???… 😆

right now I need to make a single shot tray/mag for testing different pellets and compare accuracy without using the mag.

Its nice to have more then one mag to separate the weight difference in the 44g, because it can vary from 43 to 46g that can affect the POI at long range. for now I separate them by weight on a hard case.

There are 6 round rubber washers to keep the mag from falling out or move while cocking in a right angle, so its a snug fit when pushing the mag in or out. I see no alignment issue with the mag and probe while closing the bolt—-its vary smooth through out the travel.
