FX Rifles
Does anyone here own a FX Monsoon? I saw one come up on yellow and looked it up. Wow it really appeals to me. I love the synthetic stock and the 12 round blow back looks really cool too. Anyone have info on the reliability of their rifles?

I sold off my Condor and TSS to get into the FX game. I have a Monsoon and Typhoon T12 in 22 cal. Love both guns.
To keep the Monsoon trouble free never shoot it on low air! Buy the 45 cc tune extension and fill to 3k PSI. Shoot only 3 clips through it and refill.
Other FX guns I would get is the superswift, cyclone or timber wolf/tarantula. These rifles have the smaller 8 round clips that allow for mounting your scope lower and avoiding clearance issues.
If on a budget look at the Logun Solo. Same thing as the FX typhoon. I was at AOA yesterday and check out the one they have for sale used. Really nice rifle and accurate. Just has a loud ping sound – the 45 cc extension quiets that down abit by changing the harmonics of are cylinder and attenuating some of the ping from the sound wave created when the tank discharges air. Worked on my buddies cyclone.
I have no issues with AOA. Robert has always offered good service and good prices on rifles. my $0.02
The Sumatra 22 is very powerful, not a paper cutter, but fair accuracy.I like the carbine model the best. Its also a six shot.
I have to say i am amazed at the variety of air rifles that are available and owned by the people here. There is a wealth of information available from this group and I have to say I appreciate the help. I better stop now, the pain pills are kicking in. I love you man!! 😆
I have a Monsoon in .22 and love it. I’ve had two problems with it though. I lost one of the super small orings on the magazine that keep the magazine snug in the gun, AoA sent me a new one right away. The next problem I had was with the trigger hanging up (not returning properly). Since the gun was out of warranty I risked taking the trigger assembly apart, cleaned and relubed it and put it back together and its working fine. This procedure is not for everyone, I expected to be sending AoA a box of Monsoon parts to be put back together but it all worked out OK.
Its extremely accurate, I hit a 2 liter soda bottle 7 times at 170 yards (laser range finder) after walking the first 5 rounds up to it, this with Crosmann Accupells and a very sturdy and steady rifle rest. The shroud works pretty good too at quieting the report down.
That’s just gun porn off the internet, I don’t own one………yet 😈

Me too, I was all set to spend the cash – Until I saw the new price.
I do like that Whisper.
Might have to get one some day.
I’ve always wanted a gladi8or. Never could bring myself to buy one though. 🙁
Wow that sure is a nice looking rifle! how much do you have in that setup?
After re-reading your post, and since you’re on a budget, I might suggest you strongly consider purchasing an FX Typhoon T-12 or the Whisper in .22 caliber which has the same thumbhole stock as the Monsoon.

Quiet, powerful and accurate…….
I have a Walnut stocked Monsoon in .22. The gun has been great and is very accurate. If you buy one in .22 you’ll probably find that it likes JSB pellets. Mone liked the Jumbos but it liked the Jumbo express even better. As the JSBs were expensive and often damaged in shipping , I tried a bunch of pellets and found that the best was actually one of the cheapest! The lowly Benjamin Sheridan pellet works great out of my gun.
The only problem I’ve had with the gun was when it blew a breech oring. I goy AoA on the phone and they diagnosed the problem and then sent me a half dozen orings at no charge. No complaints here with FX or AoA.
I want a Monsoon, but I don’t want to deal with AoA if anything should happen to it. … I wrote FX and described AoAs reported tactics and my first hand service to them. If you’ve got a problem with them too, just go ahead and write FX. Maybe they’ll find a new repair station. Perhaps one of the AoA fellows will get the drift and straighten their sh*t up.
Ahh the venerable s410. I go back and forth on that and the tss. I just saw the fx last night and the blow back feature appealed to me. I have to admit the 410 looks really nice. 😀
AA 410
I couldn’t recommend them enough.

My FX verminator had a leak a while back
Turned out to be the filler valve was getting a little corroded, and the bullet o ring wasn’t sealing right,
I was using an old hills pump (no dry pack),Im now using a cylinder to fill it,
Awsome rifle 😀
