Q:

FX Wildcat at Joe Brancato for $300 to $500 off retail…

:hoot:

Check this out: http://www.network54.com/Forum/79537/message/1425130551/A+Euorepean+dealier+if+offering+them+to+me+at+a+significant+savings

This would bring the Wildcat down to under a $1000, and that might be worth looking into! Drop him an email if interested and let’s see where this goes.

I’m willing to bet the US importer will do everything, short of killing the seller, to stop this from taking place. So you better move fast.

Damn Larry – i’ll be at my best judging things in Herring Juice induced haze.
I definitely keep an open mind when judgimg the newcWC ( the Toilet Gun) and , later , the Impact too.
I’m sure both will be nice guns and the Impact really seems to be way ahead of other Bullpups – or ANY airgun – with its great feats. At least on paper it does.

Now were talking, good on you Coach, non bias review! Lay off the Herring juice early Friday night, good to go. No matter how many free beer cozies you receive, I trust in your judgement. Get Some!!!

Waiting W/baited herring breath

Well – the WildCat is out and now for sale over here. I´ll probably have a chance (if time permits) to test it on Saturday.

There used to be a lot more posting on all the FX guns. Most of the posts from target shooters were positive. The biggest gripe is customer service-poor to none. Three new defective Royales arrived in the states and the three owners were not happy. I never got replies from e-mails. I still have a Royale .25, polished, regulated and tuned. It’s great for shot count and very accurate, but a tuned Edgun and Cricket are more accurate, consistently.

Ed and Tony are improving the Edgun service, Steve at Wild West has great service and FX, well, they’ve never demonstrated to me that they are decent vendors. AOA customer service is all over the map-tending to be poor. I don’t shop at Sears because they lied about warranties and repair service. Plus, their phone people mysteriously disconnect you after crazy long waits-assholes. People all over are abandoning Sears because of terrible customer service. FX will eventually fail if their only concern is making money by selling. You don’t build brand loyalty by ignoring customers and losing trust. Airguns will need servicing, parts, etc. These are reasons I’ll stay away from FX-they lost my trust. Cheap won’t buy it back.

If Joe can handle customer service for FX like he handles his own products, that would be a huge improvement; he’s a good guy for sure.

Nope, not planning on hunting with it. I just really like the idea of a bullpup. Most of my shooting is Minisniping in my backyard 85 yard airgun range. Lots of miniature steel knock-downs and dollar store plastic army men.
I’m surprised at all the FX haters here on the TAG. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with my FX rifles from AOA. My Verminator is incredible accurate, especially with the short barrel it’s got.

I dont think people hate FX guns but they do like to make fun of the beluga bobcat.
Now maybe the whole FX / AOA selling practice in the US well that may put bad taste in some folks mouths. (or maybe its other stuff)

Good luck with your Impacts if your current President gets all the AR15 – esque Guns banned. I don´t think he makes any difference between an Airgun and an assault Rifle.

He’s useless, to be sure, but the worst that can happen is that people will switch to the 6.8mm or the ballistically superior 6.5…

The AR-15 style platform will (rightfully) live on – it’s very versatile.

GsT

Damnit, a certain company put the squash on our backdoor smuggling. Bastards.

Knumbnutts and HIllarous both are nearing the end of their trail. He will be back in Illinois soon enough, and she can retire to dick-head’s double-wide library in Little Rock.

They are both liars and politically connected hacks.

Washington needs an enema.

Hey All,
Long time away, good to be back. I called Devin today at AOA and put down a deposit on a .22 Wildcat. He was really pleasant to deal with. I asked him about the really low price ($1299), and he said it’s just FX trying to undercut the competition. I happily gave him $200 to hold one for me. He said they’ve had over 100 people put down deposits already.
This’ll be my second FX, and my first bullpup, If it shoots as well as my Verminator I’ll be stoked. Then it’ll just be a question of what scope to put on it. I’m leaning towards a Hawke Sidewinder 30 Tactical.

Congrats on the new gun, you’re a brave man being the first in line for any new gun. I hope it serves you well. I have several Hawke sidewinder 30 tac and I like the scope but I personally like the SWFA fixed 12X with the Mil-quad reticle. This scope has better mechanics, the glass is clearer, and it is a lot lighter than the Hawke. I assume since this is a bullpup you’re going to hunt with it, if my assumption is correct the SWFA will balance the bully better than the Hawke. I find for hunting I really don’t need a variable power scope. There really isn’t time to do the holdover math when you change the power so you are going to leave it a a fixed power so you can memorize your holdovers. I have found that 20x is too much to use at distance because of mirage. The true practical range for hunting is 150 yards so there really isn’t a need for much more than 12X. just my .02

So it seems FX has banned any distributor to ship to USA… They can ship any where in the world but not US. interesting

Devin told me that they thought that they’d be in around mid-April.

Hey Wolf, any time line when it’s coming in?
