This would bring the Wildcat down to under a $1000, and that might be worth looking into! Drop him an email if interested and let’s see where this goes.
I’m willing to bet the US importer will do everything, short of killing the seller, to stop this from taking place. So you better move fast.

Hey hoot,
How’s everybody doing down your way ? 🙂
Here’s the thing….what a “dealer” does with his product, after he has paid FX full fees, is his business and his business alone. While he may never get another shipment from FX, (I doubt he is really concerned) it is possible he is going out of business, dropping the FX line, or sees the Wildcat as a piece of Swedish Shit and wants to unload his inventory before the word gets out and he gets stuck with stock he can’t move. Take your guess, take your chances!
As I’ve mentioned before, that price drop is not because the industry is concerned that we buyers are overpaying!!! Ville has mentioned before that FX is considered a middle of the line gun in Europe, not worth the premium we pay.
Joe’s a big boy with an excellent reputation. I wouldn’t hesitate one minute to deal with him. What we need is someone who has an FX Wildcat in hand to clue us in on whether it’s a good buy or a deal to avoid!

That will be in about two weeks then. A friend will buy one of those from the first batch. The WC (toiletgun) will be available after the IWA next weekend.
I’m sure it will be a fine gun and well functioning one too. FX’s are , as said , workingman-like guns so they oughtta …. Well-work 🙂
This isn’t a purchase direct from the factory…FX and AoA would not be involved. The fewer the details known about the seller, the better.
Hoot:
In that case … And it’s definitely best to keep all the details hush-hush.
Grey market airguns have been coming into the USA for years Pomona airguns was getting Rapids this way and was never an authorized dealer.
Once they are here they can sell them for whatever they want
Keyser and Hoot,
I had no idea about Perazi or Lunchbox Guns. God I swear I learn something every day, It’s the forgetting part that gets me. Thanks guys.
Scott
PS – the “FX-AOA” debate has gone nuclear over a yeller. Need to make some popcorn and what the fun unfold 🙂

Surf, I used to import fine shotguns. As far as Joe going down in flames as you say he is not breaking any laws by importing legal items from a different distributor. We use backdoor Perazzi USA all the time. We would us an English gun dealer who would order for use factory direct. It was common that after we paid the 11% Federal Excise Tax and 200 dollars to the ATF we legally brought Perazzi MX8 shotguns for about 40 % less than the purchase price from Perazzi USA. The reason this practice was continued for so long was because the English dealer sold so many Perazzi’s that the factory in Italy did not want to make issue with him.
On the other hand there were some “grey market” Perazzi were imported to the USA, they are often referred as lunch box guns. Because those guns violated Perazzi’s name and intellectual property and patents they were stopped by ICE.
I know Joe, he’s a good guy. He won’t screw you.
Better put on your waiters the shit is getting deep!!!!
looks like Steve just tossed a wrench in the gearbox of AOA and there proud FX products…..

With all due respect, I’m not sure encouraging people to move fast is sound advice. Think about the repercussions to Joe B. before. It’s certain suicide for Joe B should he pursue this adventure. Anyone who thinks AOA or FX would take this lying down is penny wise and pound foolish. I would hate to see a good guy like Joe B go down in flames for such as silly endeavor. Just my 2 cents.

He won´t be able to do that. FX doesn´t send any Guns to US except for AoA. Neither do any Swedish dealer. In that case he´d have to collect the Guns himself and fly over.

Hey All,
Long time away, good to be back. I called Devin today at AOA and put down a deposit on a .22 Wildcat. He was really pleasant to deal with. I asked him about the really low price ($1299), and he said it’s just FX trying to undercut the competition. I happily gave him $200 to hold one for me. He said they’ve had over 100 people put down deposits already.
This’ll be my second FX, and my first bullpup, If it shoots as well as my Verminator I’ll be stoked. Then it’ll just be a question of what scope to put on it. I’m leaning towards a Hawke Sidewinder 30 Tactical.
