I haven’t played with an edgun, so I can’t comment on that, but I can comment on that comment. Go look up my blazer online. It seems to get the exact same treatment that the edgun is getting. You can find TONS of reports of how they aren’t that accurate, and how they will simply explode if you shoot one. And because of the way it works, the bolt will go through your head. Same kind of thing, “it is an overpriced gun that really sucks.”
All of that of course, will come from people who have never shot the gun, most have never seen it. 😕 I don’t understand why people comment on a gun they haven’t used. I would never explain details on an edgun.

I saw the Yellow form link, my marauder can shoot as good of a group as the Edgun at 30 to 45 yards, but to out shoot the Condor 22 they will have to redo air rifle Technology all over again.
I use setting 3 on my Condor and it shoots to specks as if it is tuned wide open in the 22 caliber, so no use even trying any higher because as they say it will break the sound barrier and the pellet goes wild. Never tried I use every one else’s post to not have to waist my time.
The Edgun is a nice rifle and if it wasn’t so expensive I’d buy one, but my 22 rugger’s that I customised was much cheaper.
I went into Air guns to use around the house and off the misty woods a bit.
I don’t have a gun vise like I see most using to make their dime sized group at 25 to 60 yards if I did I could shoot the same group, heck anyone can pull a trigger and let the vice aim the gun, but I think it might mess up my train of thought when I get in teh woods and have to use off hand, so I shoot from a flimsy table that shakes a lot, and I still hit my target.
The Benjamin Discovery with the 22 shoots in the 800 FPS range and the 17 caliber is close to the 1000 with the 7 grain crosman pellets from Wally world. I have used a variety of pellets and with the exception of RWS all the others seem to shoot a good group.
I don’t even reset my Laser in my Condor at 20 yards when I change barrels from 22 to 25, or to the 12″ 22 barrel.
So IMHO the Edgun is a good gun as you can get but the price is a little berzerk for a pellet rifle that don’t take down an Elephant. At least if I’m paying verses $1000 for an air gun it better take down anything I encounter in the woods Including a Kodiak Bear. 😀
But if I was born rich I would try one but from what Ive seen the Marauder or the Condor or even the Discovery will do just fine, I’m not into threading a needle at 30 yards, just a Rabbit or Squirrel or in the 308 caliber at 25 to 45 yards a deer will do just fine.
It’s all in fun and I like to discuss it but to use slang against people who can afford is not the way to discuss anything.
I love that Edgun, but if I’m going to spend any more money it will be on the bigger calibers.
So far I am 100% satisfied with the guns Ive bought and for accuracy they blew me away , I didn’t think those guns could do what they do, but I live and learn,, you guys make em and I’ll shoot em 😀
1″ group at 100 yards benched from what I have seen, 22 and 25 caliber. I don’t believe the manufacturers you listed can deliver anything even close to that, maybe the DayState in 22… But isn’t that more expensive?
The cheapest DayState is $1500 Huntsman?, it’s a repeater, which is nice, but something tells me it’s not going to give you EdGun power and accuracy out past 60 yards… It is their low end production model after all…
For a from the manufacturer “stock” rifle it can’t really be beat… Only thing I have seen that delivers the same energy (maybe a bit more) and close to the same accuracy is a juiced up TT Condor 25. Which is about the same price (with shroud) but has no reg.
You could spend close to $3000 on a regulated .177 FT rifle that can’t shoot past 60 yards…
I venture that the 177 EdGun would do quite well in a FT match… Hey Ed, want to send me one to test in the NorCal matches? 😆
The long and the short is that – under good conditions, and in a good shooter’s hands – they are a MOA rifle (some a bit better – some a bit worse). Of course, Ed does not guarantee this kind of accuracy (I think his guarantee is something like 1/2″ at 30 yards…). But, it seems to be what the owners of this gun are able to achieve on a “good” day.
Just how accurate is this gun? Compared to weihrauch and daystate rifles?
I am thinking of pulling the trigger on the long bull pulp version. monthly payments of course.
I could never figure out man’s propensity to tromp around in the forrest with the most fancy highly polished piece of hardwood they could find…
Having said that an airgun with one of those expensive fancy wood stocks make LESS sense than getting an EdGun in my book.
Maybe it’s because I can make a really nice wood stock that I find them less valuable, or maybe I see a gun as a tool and not a piece of furniture… 😯
Would one worry about the paint one their race car when fighting to win the race? 😕

Buying a rifle based in the wooden stock is like saying you bought the car because of the way the color of the paint performs… 😕

Not bashing any other company but I’m sure if one of the bigger named companies manufactured the “Edgun” it would have to be in the $2000 range. Its that well made, very solid, very accurate, very quiet. I’m also glad my Edgun doesn’t have a fancy stock on it either or I’d never take it into the woods for fear of damaging it. What a well made piece of machinery. Good job ED.

The retail price is nothing when we talk about airguns, high end airguns are not cheap, they need a lot of things to be the best as Hw, styer, Daystate, teoben etc.
Edgun is a revolutionary rifle, very simple made, high quality materials, strong like a tank precice as a laser. Price tag?…Hmmm in Holland an edgun cost 1600 euro and peolpe still buy it. Why? Becouse the gun itself is the best singleshot in bullpup configuration ever developed.
If you want a cheap gun buy gamo and be happy.
We edgun owners are happy with our bullpups, no matter the price 😀 😀 😀
