Q:

Good News/Bad News – Pyramyd Air

Good News –

I got my order of JSB 22 pellets. I paid the $5.00 bribe, it shipped 2 days later!

Bad News –

They were destroyed in shipping! They were packed in a small cardboard box with no padding at all. The results should have been predictable.

I called them got a RMA, now if they will get me the email return shipping label I will ship them back.

I’m waiting…………..

I hope your right. The tracking info says the package weighs 19.9 pounds.

You should be OK. I bet the the larger orders are packed better. Also, not as likely to be tossed like a football during shipping. I did finally get me JSB’s. only one tin was bent up, but not too bad. I asked the contact person at Pyramyd about the JSB’s not being taped and was told that that is how they got them. I still have not gotten my order from Mack1. I got an email two weeks ago stating they were on back order. I had ordered some Eun Jin’s also. I may be better served ordering some Kodiak’s instead, I doubt my Condor will shoot them well as it is setup using a Talon valve and hammer.

It appears to me the JSB may be a little bit more fragile than the Kodiaks? I hope so, I have 6400 rounds supposed to be here Wed. 25th.

I ordered 20 tins of JSB’s and only got 3, they came in so-so condition, with about 10 pellets per tin unusable. I also ordered 4 tins predators, which came with the original red tape, but no bubble rap. In the tin I opened, only a few were damaged. The moral of the story is: Don’t order JSB’s, from the king of bad packaging.

I ordered 8 tins of .25 SamYang 42 grainers and 6 of those 8 were spilled all over the box and a few were damaged…

They seriously need to work on packing.

I ordered 2 tins of JSB’s and 2 tins of Crosman Premier HP. Both arrived within a week and in perfect condition.

I waited and waited for the JSB’s to get in stock, had an order placed for 12 tins. They called and canceled the order, stating they had no idea when they would get them. One week later they were in stock. I had ordered some from Mac1 but they were on back order too. so I ordered 4 tins from Pyramyd. They were DOA. I called them and sent them back. Now they are out again and I have not herd a word from them. My charge card has already been charged. ……………Wonderful.

It all depend on which costumer service person your email or phone call goes to.

Look at me! First post here.

I felt compelled to register just to reply to this old post. I had ordered two tins of pellets from Pyramid several months ago. The order came promptly in roughly the same four inch square box described earlier. Bothe tins of pellets were individually pakaged in buble wrap however, the one tin of Kodiaks were perfect but the tin of Exacts were crushed BEFORE they had been packaged. Someone obviously dropped them at some point before they decided that they should be shipped. I knew they weren’t damaged in shipping because of the amount of bubble wrap used to protect them and the Kodiaks were perfect like I said.

Now for the important part.

I sent Pyramid a snotty email to complain just so they would know what had happened. I guessed that roughly ten percent of the pellets in the tin were unuseable but I wasn’t really that upset just basically annoyed. That email was returned in twenty four hours from a gal in customer service asking for a contact phone number. I replied and she called me within an hour insisting that they would ship me a new tin of Exacts. I tried to discourage her; I only lost ten percent of the tin and that they took it seriously is good enough for me. The new box came that same week double wrapped with a hand written note apologizing. To say I have been impressed with thier customer service is an understatment. I have since purchased all of my accessories from them and will continue to make a point to purchase from them every opportunity.

I’ve read alot about this issue concerning them. I know they have good prices, but are the headaches worth it?

They have new warehouse people who aren’t paid much, (employee turnover is high). It is a reliability issue that I don’t understand. They do everything right, just to piss off customers with their last part of the process. Oh well.

Received a single tin of JSB predators couple days ago(Exchange from previous order). Came in 4 x 4 x 4” box double wrapped in bubble pack. I don’t think it’s the expedited service so much as the training the warehouse staff receives. I always give the $5 bribe and never had anything damaged due to packing. Defective products yes, but that was from the manufacturer.

Hope that barrel I just ordered from them does not arrive ready to shoot around corners…… 😆

I had the same problem with the 5 dollar bribe, It shipped out 2 days later. I ordered Sun night figured it would ship mon but instead it didnt ship till tues.

Lol, no kidding. Tell them that they shipped it out to fast for 5 bucks. They need to slow down and put some packing material in there. Ask them what 2.50 would get you.
