way I see it is even IF I end up not caring for it it seems hard to lose money on buying an Edgun
they are basically in the same class as purchasing a new DAQ big bore from Dennis when it comes to resale
Not many things a man can say that about in new in the box products these days that one can purchase, carefully use and still likely resell for more than you paid for it in the first place.

Have a beautiful custom stocked FX500 that my new .25 R3 Long will be butting heads with as well as a couple .25 Marauders that are custom works in progress & a Highly customized Condor Carbine in .25
likely a few are going to have to go
but I am betting I will likely retain the R3 as a primary tool
only question is when you have a two thousand dollar rifle just what optics does one drop on it of similar quality?
might just have to get one of those Leupolds with the Holland reticle and a pair of QD rings
is the Edgun rail milled to 1913 specs?
I still waiting for magic E-mail from Tony for my R3 .22 cal long & R3 .25 cal long
I hope to get them as same time as you guys get it
P.S. it should be sweet to know about where am I or you are in the waiting list for Edgun

i just got the magic email myself and wired the money, woohoo here buddy ive been waiting awhile but now i gotta wait on the delivery truck.
Ive got my fingers crossed, I got on the list for a lelya in january. Ed , did you squeeze any lelyas in that giant crate full of matadors? 😀 My r3 wants to meet his little sister 😆 Tedd is right, the wait for your next edgun IS worse

I don’t know how long of a wait it will be until my R3 .22 standard is here– but that’s OK because I have my R2 .22 Standard to hold me over until the R3 is here. 😛

The guns, Tony is about to send now were made in January, it took almost 3 months to deliver them to US, in comparison to 6 months for delivering from Russia that is a kind of progress 🙂 The point is that, based on Tony’s words we has 1-2 person getting in wating line every day and I just cannot meet all that demand 🙁 even though I had to move the price up…
I expect next delivery in June…

my understanding from Tony’s email was that all that came in with the current shipment was the Long R3s in .25 so if someone is on the list for a different caliber or a shorter .25 there will probably be more waiting.
I can not recall the exact date I placed my order but know it was prior to Turkey day
I got on the list, for the R3 22 standard, on 11-23-2011.
I sent Tony an email wanting to buy some Matador parts. He said that the needed parts weren’t in stock and that my R3 22 standard wasn’t in the shipment that he just got.
I didn’t know that Tony had got some guns in; I try really hard not to bother him with, “when will my dam Edgun be here”. GOOD things come to those who wait!
You guys that are waiting for your first Edgun think that you are just waiting for “another” air gun. That wait is hard. Once you have an Edgun and see the quality, fit, finish, performance and something that I just can’t describe: you have to have one to understand, you just have to have more of them! The wait for the next Edgun is worse!

1) I have waited a combined total of 19.5 months for my first 3 Edguns.
the first one only took 6 weeks. I have been waiting 5 months and
counting for my 4th. Like Tom Petty says; “The waiting is the
hardest part”.

Great to hear… especially since Tony confirmed my reservation for a .22 standard and .25 long on 11/29– not too long after your reservation. Looks like I might have to part with some money sooner rather than later! 😀

I have no idea how long ago I got on the list but it was as soon as they were announced – I changed a R2.5 order to a R3 order. Trying to make a wire transfer to Tony work so I can get it even sooner! I don’t like waiting 🙂 Now I just need to sell something to pay for it…. anybody a HW 100 fan?
