Got the Talon SS in Today!
And it is one awesome piece of work. Mounting accessories and operation is very simple, and the DVD included was a very interesting watch! I love how light the gun is, too. Here are some pictures:

Compared to my springer I’m getting a lot better groups. This airgun rocks! I ordered JSB exacts from PA and I could not find a single one that was good enough to shoot through my barrel. It only came with a piece of tape rapped around it, not the red tape like normal. I suspect PA is resending out bad pellets that they get back, trying to get away with it thinking that maybe somebody else will keep them? I ordered some other pellets too… same story. Odd thing is that the predators, of which >50% of them last time were damaged, were all 100% awesome. They are the best shooting by far. I’m definitely calling Pyramyd Air tomorrow about this, because I’m not keeping 1500 useless pellets (I honestly could not find any that I could shoot without damaging my gun!). The Crosman Premiers and Predators are perfect though.
I had to shim the scope in order to get it to aim high enough. One thing I think is weird is the difference in POI at different ranges? The groups are always one-holers but in different locations. I suppose I just need more power? I have the PW at 8 and I’m using 14.3 CP’s and Predators (which have the same POI).
What flashlight can I get to mount on it that is cheap (not like chinese child factory cheap) but works well? I’m just not looking to spend hundreds of dollars on flashlights with 1,000,000,000,000 candle light power.

I understand it but the pellet is obviously traveling upwards until a certain point. So if you zero at 12 yards, it will be hitting higher at 30 yards. For this you don’t aim even higher do you? No.
So why are you telling me to count two mil-dots BELOW the crosshairs? That would only make me aim higher and send the pellet further off course. Do you mean to say ABOVE the crosshairs? Then you would be lowering the scope.

I think what bikin is saying is; by aiming 2 mil dots low, you hold over the target by 2 mil dots. Count down from the crosshair 2 dots, that is his aiming point.
The higher your magnification is set, the more mil dots you need to use to compensate for drop. ( I think I got that right? )
Find a magnification you can shoot well with, then leave it there. Over time, you will learn your aiming points.
I went there you crazy biker but I don’t know anything like BC or velocity and the darn BC table isn’t there and they are telling me to aim high?!
It all depends on your zero distance, and how far above your barrel your scope is. I am zeroed for 12 yards, and at 10x magnification the most my pellet will be off by is 3 mil dots, all the way to about 120 yards. Say i am shooting a crow at 60 yards, i would aim 2 mil dots low. By low i mean that my pellet will hit about 2 mils higher than the center of my cross-hair.
2 mildots at what magnification level? Do you have to keep aiming lower (ie 4 mildots at 40) or does it stay a constant 2 mildots over your POA until 80 yards?
Look how high your scope is above your barrel, it is the same with all guns. If you zero at 12 yards like I do, at 20 yards you will be shooting about 2 mils down. That means you need to aim below your target anywhere from 13 yards to about 80, with my setup, which is very similar to yours. Past 80 yards the pellet crosses back down below your secondary zero, and you need to aim high. go here http://www.arld1.com/ and play all the demos, it will help you understand a lot.

And about the PW, do you mean it’s not consistent above 4 or it’s not consistent under? And by consistent you mean what?
Make sure you are holding the gun lightly and be sure to not apply to much pressure on the bipod while shooting. Give that a try.

I didnt say aim 2 mil dots below the croshair. i meant aim 2 mil dots LOW. So that would be the 2 mils above the crosshair if you want me to say it like that.
