Q:

Hard-sided case for Vulcan BP

I really like the hard-sided case that the Vulcan BP comes in. However, once a scope and LDC are affixed to the gun, it no longer fits in said case. Such a shame as I don’t have anything else to put in the AGT case at the moment. :sadn:

I’m just wondering what brand/model hard-side case everyone is using? I prefer that the case “fits like a glove” in that I have just enough room for maybe the AGT fill station, magazines, and a tin or two of pellets.

Cheers!

Like Salt my Vulcan hard case will carry my rifle and scope with rifle placed on an angle.

Eric: At some point I will most likely get a soft case, like a backpack. It’s a good idea to look beyond cases specifically made for guns, and might not command the premium price point.

Zonk: That’s exactly what I am looking for! Thanks!

SWS: I’m still waiting for my rings to be delivered, but to my eye, and with the butt pad lowered, I don’t think things are going to fit in the AGT case. I may very well be wrong though. I’m eager to see a photo from you.

Nice on Zonk. However, I’d flip it 180 degrees so the scope is up when being carried by the handle of the case… Less chance for a drop or hard sit down issue messin’ up the scope.

To the OP: My vulcan will still fit in my case with a standard Hawke Sidewinder 30 6.5-24X50 mounted on it… Put it in at an angle so the pistol grip is just to one side of the center hand secion and barrel is tlited down… Mine even fits with the synthetic black stock installed. NO LDC, but it can be screwed off and laid in separately.

I get home this evening, I’ll try to remember to snap a pic and post.

This is what I use. It’s a good hard case and the interior is pluck foam to form to your gun.

Once foam is plucked out I used a glue gun to seal upper foam to lower foam, that way when lifting your gun out the foam doesn’t come along with your gun.

+1! I have a soft bag that fits my Cricket so tight that gun ain’t moving! Love it, but not a fan of hardcase so can’t help you on that, but I got my bag from an instrument store, it is made for some sort of soundboard or something. So sometimes you have to look away from the “tactical” stuff to find what you want.
