Harris for the Condor.. H E L P
I asked Adam last week to help me out with the purchase of a news Harris bipod and he hardware I need to mount it on the Condor.. I still don’t know just what to get and I need someone to hold my old hand and just plain take care of me.. I need to know just what Harris to buy (model number) and the swivel stud I need (model number) ..I want this thing to swivel and tilt and pull the trigger if possible..I have looked at every darn model and I am not sure what I need to get..I want get it right the first time around as I don’t want to be sending things back and reordering..If this not asking too much..Please break it down for the old man..Besides making the gun look pretty bad ass I also want the bipod to be completely functional..

Thanks for your part in the project Brandon… The mount turned out just as I had pictured it would. I was very nice of you to donae the stud screw. Once again I want to thank the both of you for helping out on this.

Dad, according to the shipper you should be receiving that sunshade shortly. If I could read Chinese I could tell you exactly when. 😉 I hope it isn’t painted PVC pipe.

I forgot all about posting some photos of the finished product of a project that WOK did for me. He took a BKL 11mm to weaver adapter and drilled and taped a hole and put in a stud for me.. All out of the goodness of his heart. Giving is one of the things I really enjoy about this forum. I also go to WOK for advice via email…goosh he is a human being.. Thanks so much my friend and everything you see on the gun is going to go on my soon new .25 Tony Tune Condor. Gonna be a .20 condor up for sale in the near future..
Dadwilson m8 i know what you mean about drilling the frame, personally i wouldn’t either, Thats a very similar method to what i used, but i drilled a tri rail and stuck the stud on to that, it’s on here some where, cant remember what post i posted it in.
i also wanted a weaver mount on my rifle for various accessories, so i bought 2 adapters, and once again attached them to the tri rail 😀 here’s a few pics of it, will post more pics very soon of the new set up, as previously it was a little heavy 😀 and i do like the wooden look on it, but i orignally purchased my rifle for the “state of the art military looks” and i think the way it’s going now certainly compliments that, as it weighs a heck of a lot less then the “heavyweight wonder” in the gallery, will be a short while before i finish this set up though 🙂 Plus now i can still use the stud for a sling, so i left it on.

Adam rigged this up for me this last week. I didn’t want to drill into the gun so he drilled and tapped a BKL mount for me. I wanted to mount one of the quality Harris bipod to the gun but have the flexiblility to remove it if needed so. I will also be using the same mount to attach my flash light for the night hunts. It is a little added weight but I think I can live with it..

I just posted on another thread how i did it the cheap way!.
Just but an 11mm rail(your guns rail)to weaver adaptor.Then buy a bipod that goes direct to a weaver rail. No drilling,tapping or any of that malarky 😀
I use a cheap airsoft bipod. Works great, i shoot target and hunting. we’re not in the army, throwing ourselves and our kit about. We ‘re not firing powder burners. We got no recoil and a light gun.
Go on e-bay and have a look for 11mm rail to weaver adaptor,then weaver rail bipods.

Yes, if you just drilled and taped the center of it for a sling stud.
That’s what I was talking about by taking a one piece dovetail mount and hacking off the rings… you then just have a 2-3″ aluminum block you can drill and tap for the stud. Cheaper method…

Would something like this BKL mount work to mount the Harris.
I usually suck at this kinda stuff, but i found it pretty easy. I asked python to send me some studs, and he did. I then ordered a 9-13″ harris from midway USA. I drilled and tapped my frame, and attached the bipod to the stud. The same as python but with a longer bipod.

If you don’t want to drill your frame, drill and tap a tri rail instead, then install the rail onto the bottom rails.
Thanks for explaining all of that to me.. I am still a little confused.. I will just tell you what I really need.. Don’t laugh at me… I don’t want to drill in the frame of the gun… I want it mounted the best way possible to the forearm is possible. Now this is what I really do need… just tell me who to purchase everything that I need from… give the item number of each and every part I need from the stud to the bipod.. I will have trust your judgment as I will go along with whatever information you give me.. I don’t want to be returning items because I purchased the wrong thing.. I would really appreciate this as I keep getting conflicting information or incomplete information..
Here are some bad pictures that might help you understand how they mount and why using the Airforce stud might not be the best route.
If you want the 6-9″ swiveling benchrest model you’ll want to pick from one of these two. One is with leg notches, one is without. I find the 6-9″ to be perfect height for my shooting style.
