Harris for the Condor.. H E L P
I asked Adam last week to help me out with the purchase of a news Harris bipod and he hardware I need to mount it on the Condor.. I still don’t know just what to get and I need someone to hold my old hand and just plain take care of me.. I need to know just what Harris to buy (model number) and the swivel stud I need (model number) ..I want this thing to swivel and tilt and pull the trigger if possible..I have looked at every darn model and I am not sure what I need to get..I want get it right the first time around as I don’t want to be sending things back and reordering..If this not asking too much..Please break it down for the old man..Besides making the gun look pretty bad ass I also want the bipod to be completely functional..

Okay…then what do you suggest if you want to confuse me even more my friend… If what you say is fact, then what solution do you have to offer..
I just drilled and tapped a hole in my bottom rail and mounted a stud. There is no possible way that I could have gotten a steadier mount, this thing could withstand a nuclear blast.
Just so you know, that thumb screw on the stud will be in the way of the bipod. It’ll work if you replace it with a hex screw or something, but IMO still wouldn’t be the most stable way of mounting.
I had a hunch that you would come up with the information for me.. I will have to get right on track and get them ordered up..Just what the Condor needs to complete the first stage of external mods I have planned. Beside I need a good platform for the gun to rest on.

Swivel stud
This is all you should need just did mine. Temp. fashion for now but my swivel stud is coming.
I think I would like the 6″ to 9″ Model or what ever seems to be the most popular..
First off how tall do you want the bi-pod? they very from 8″ all the way to 27″

No intention to confuse you dad. Rather simple really.
The most solid method by far would be to just drill and tap the frame 10-32 and install a 10-32 x 1/4″ sling stud. The Harris attaches directly to the stud and will pull up snug.
If you don’t want to drill the frame, you have a few other choices with the Harris. I believe they make an adapter to attach to barrels, as well as one to attach to picatinny rails. You would then need a dovetail to picatinny adapter for your Condor rail to go that route. Unfortunately, nothing to attach directly to dovetail rails… Airforce should have used Picatinny rails IMO.
Of course you can go the route you’re already talking about with the Airforce swivel stud adapter. I haven’t tried it but I’ve read they will need the thumb screw replaced because it’s in the way. They also tend to snap in half if over-tightened. Then there is the issue of the Harris pulling up to the gun. If it’s just contacting the swivel studs mount, it probably won’t be that stable because the swivel mount is not long enough.
To make yourself a stud long enough you could take a one piece dovetail scope mount and cut off the scope rings. Then just drill and tap the center of that longer dovetail rail to accept one of the swivel studs.
