Q:

Has This Happen To Your Condor?

I noticed that where the cocking handle rests, it’s starting to wear away the metal and flatten a part of it. Now it started to scrape the cocking barrel. I contacted Air Force and showed them the same pictures and they stated it’s just normal wear. They stated if the rifle started to not function properly, they would take care of it. That was very comforting, but I wanted to ask the question to see if this has happened to any of the Talon Airgun members. The rifle is only 10 months old, but I shoot it a lot.

Thanks!

Mine that way too. I took a small piece of shrink tubing and made a cushion for it.

Is the little plastic bushing missing on your knobs bolt?

Sorry for the spelling im using my phone. [/url]

Cut off the end of a bic pen the plastic tube ant it will stop it. Just file off the burr and shot away if the plast wares then make another . Oh and warm it up so the plastics is soft and cock the gun so it form a mold. Any queation just ask

I just rub a bit of “Gunslick” onto the worn parts to help reduce metal to metal friction. Otherwise it’s nothing to worry about.

My TSS and Condor have similar wear. So long as it’s not slowing the breech you’re fine. I consider it “breaking in”.

The problem is they need to make the notch a lot longer. It’s banging on the thinnest part of the frame. Plus it’s banging on the corner. I made mine a 1/2″ longer and have no problem now.

It has happened to every AF rifle I have owned.

At times it has peened the frame to where I had scoring on the breech. I have had to remove peened material to stop it from scraping the breech.

Sub Sonnics bolt handle will slow it down considerably.

There should be a small plastic or metal bushing on the cocking knob that will slow wear down.
