Q:

heatsink

got so many tools…even lathe and mill….but i dont have the time/opportunity to make something my self, little 5 month old Lucas does not like to be ignored, while daddy go whip something cool up in the garage(he does like to sit in the stomach hammock thingy and watch the car race by)……so….

i need a heatsink with as large fins sticking up pulling heat away from an electric motor, it needs to be able to clamp tight, but have minimum material under the motor as there is not much room, but fins may poke up something like 2 inches

something like this

but on a bigger scale

is there someone who can make that for me…..name your price….sorry to say theres not much room in the budget, wife allready bitched about the repair cost of my RC cars ESC and motor….damn post pregnancy hormones….but i figure i can squeese in a heatsink if it mens less risk of burning something, hehe

motor is 42mm diameter, and i forget the lenght and motor is shipped out…but about 10 cm (4 inches)

No over heating with IC boys.

If it gets to hot. I just piss on it.

yeah the glow engines are fast, and fun but dam are the noisy.

As soon as he IC he might as well go AG or even PB…

CA is not RC IC friendly at all…

I have an IC RC AWD car and I was driving it in a college parking lot and the people in the apartments started complaining and security made me stop…

Have you checked out these guys? http://www.rc-monster.com/

ahh….i think that these new brushless systems are more powerfull….if i wanted slower i can just use 2S lipo packs

Internal Combustion

IC ?

Go IC dude.

modding airguns, i wish !

i have moved to gun scared California….no longer have my nice concrete basement where i could get away with a 44magnum boom without neighbors even hearing it….now i got a garage….neighbors house is 4 yards away….

i got a 5 month old baby….which i take care of while wife is at work…he pretty much take all of my time, except when he takes a nap like he does now…that gives me 20 minutes of peace…

RC is kinda cool, kiddo like to watch the car, neighbors dont care about rc…but they will panic by the sight of an airrifle …seems perfect

found the motor dimensions http://www.castlecreations.com/products/mamba_monster.html

Motor Diameter: 41.78mm = 1,64488189 inches
Motor Length: 75.18mm = 2.95984252 inches

you gotta move man!
that is very sad indeed!

just to make it clear its a heatsink for the motor im looking for….for the ESC i got an old AMD heatsink, so that will be easy, its the motor thats hard

Did you also looking those computer water cooling system? they work well with high performance game machine, may that will work? those water cooling system came with small heatsink, they should fit.

the 18T in mine is stock, so is the 58….when its in the box i would think they have tested it ….im even running smaller wheels (3.2″) so final drive ratio should be a bit lower than factory.

i think i managed to get a 1st gen brushless car…..so hopefully i will get a later generation back, just sucks to have it repaired allready….before all the fun so to say is about to start….i was hoping to try and see how fast i could make it go….but the fear of it blowing up again…lets put it this way if it does i will ebay it…and try Tekin instead, or maybe a cheaper asian clone

and get back to modding airguns eh? 🙂 🙂

i have a 20t pinion was in the brushless kit i bought, with a 68t spur on mine came stock on the emaxx. when you get the motor and esc back id try changing the gearing around a bit.
