i do not even know what a JB weld is or what it would have to do with this predicament
Vise/pipe wrench/channellocks, rag to keep from marring the surface… maybe a drop of oil. … and lots of man power.
I must have missed something somewhere. So where did the JB Weld come into play? Surely somebody did’nt tell him to JB Weld the bottle into the adapter for a good seal did they ? ? ?
man power is not enough to get the bottle loose…..I NEED TOOLS (which i do not have at the moment…)
and what do i do about that?
Regaurdless of what your friends told you. JB Weld is not an efficient way to provide a better seal. 😛
It may have screwed on crossthreaded.
ok, i will give that a try… or use the vise grips when i find them
this has happened to me more than once, just give it some mussel and a very firm grip to get it on the move, after you have the adapter off the tank give the threads a drop of lock tight and give it a slight torque to the pump
well thanks for the advise, I will give it a try…
Well now, I’m about all used up for advice. I reckon maybe just a little more umphhh counterclockwise and see what that would do.
I think I would grab the adapter with a pair of channel locks and hold pressure on it while adding the umphhh to the bottle so you don’t torque the fitting on the pump that the adapter attaches to though……
yeah i did
did you release the pressure valve on your pump before trying to take the tank off the pump?
Bleeder valve I should say……
yeah and i did not over tighten it happened when i went to take the tank off from the hand pump
One of these should get it un-“stuck”…..

Seriously though, how the hell did you do that? I see no reason why it should be stuck. You sure you are unscrewing the bottle from the adapter in a counterclockwise direction?
