Help? Matador fps is erratic all of the sudden.
I have about 3,500 pellets through my .22 standard . I’, shooting 15.9 gr for now because I’m out of 18.1, but 15.9s used to shoot around 985 and my 18.1s used to shoot around 890. I noticed a while ago that my edgun started shooting a little slower. I messed with the hst a little and it sped back up. Now it started to slow down again, so I turned the hst a little more. After a little longer I noticed my poa changing and I had to keep chasing my crosshairs around..up, down, up , up, down, down , etc. Again, I tried to mess with the hst. My gun would start off shooting slow, then it would ramp up to blazing speed as I shot more. Here is where it’s at now. I haven’t ever messed with the regulator, so I was wondering if something could come loose on it or something to make it shoot erratic? I’m new to these as you can tell, but for now my rws 48 is way more consistent than my Edgun :(. Here’s what it looked like a little bit ago when I shot a string.

Time to open her up and thoroughly clean reg internals,barrel etc and lube.
I don’t know if you have a plug for fill port hole to keep dust out but recommend it highly. Also wipe clean probe before filling. Smallest particle of dust can wreak havoc inside.

Yeah…I thought that was what you meant after I typed…I edited it as you were typing yours, lol.
I don´t mean it´s leaking from the chamber but from some other place,like some reg o-ring or transferport o-ring or …
I marked the hst and it is staying put. The gun holds air just fine, unless you mean an o-ring inside leaking when the gun is fired. I don’t know though, but I guess I’m going to learn at some point?!?!
I don´t know the answer but i´m also curious to know what it might be. Sounds to me like either a leak somewhere or something weird with the reg. Or the HST screw working its way out or broken HS. Or —

Don´t worry. It´s most probably just some idiotic o-ring or something loose inside. These are rugged buggers so i wouldn´t despare just yet.
Someone with answers will soon chime in.
