how long is too long???
just curious. about how long should you keep an AF rifle cocked before you need to worry about hammer spring fatigue( or any other problem) i know with springers it isn’t a good idea to cock one and leave it for hours, but does it matter with a PCP???

Put both hands on the back of it, and lean forwards. Like superman flying. This should give a good angle of attack. 😉

I woke up one morning last week with a piss hardon, I went to take a leak, but when I pushed it down with both hands to keep from pissing in my face, my feet slipped out from under me and I hit my forehead on the toilet bowl. Woke up on the floor an hour later.

Thanks Dave..didn’t know you could un-cock an Air Force gun that way..never had a need to try it… that being the case, then the whole issue of leaving it cocked too long is a moot point. I personally wouldn’t leave it cocked any longer than necessary.

I try to find a nice dead tree pick a spot and see if I can hit that spot.
I then can load a pellet and cock it if I see something else.
I tried that with my side lever RWS 48 but no go. barrel didn’t break ??? LOL!
The whole idea of grabbing on to the end of a barrel and forcing it down has always been counter intuitive to me in the first place.. 😆

Put barrel in broken position, hold on to it and pull trigger. Release the barrel slowly.
If it is a break barrel, after being cocked and ready to fire, break the barrel, hold the barrel against the spring pressure TIGHTLY and then pull the trigger and let the barrel move back up to normal
It is the same method with any other action
