How sturdy is the Impact?
If you bang it around will it loose Zero? How prone is it get POI shift? I carry my guns in soft gun bags that sometimes Take a beating and I don’t want to rezero my gun every time I go out.

LOL, the Sweden market is pretty crazy, With one of the highest Tax rate in the world, Over 50%
So if they sell a gun for import for 2000 bucks 1000 plus goes to Tax’s,
So an example , The middle men have to make a little money to,
So your 2000 dollar inpact minus 1000 in tax’s and the middle man cuts, Lets say 300 bucks,
It looks like it is a 700 dollar gun,
Correct my math if I am wrong…………………

Well crap I check everyday and nada :4:
Im really interested in the .25 impact hopefully they get their shit together soon.
I laughed my ass off when I read my own post and NO one has replied to it,
The impact must be a real DUD, or no one owns one on this site,
But with all the problems with the gun I do under stand why no one has tried to stand up for the gun.
If they do indeed work out all the problems and drop the price for us common or retired folks 1,500 seems good .
in four or five years I might even get one, shit they got to get better.

I am sure the impact is sturdy enough to hit a rabbit over the head with it like a hammer,
I also think it can be used to knock a person down if he is attacking you, just use the barrel end of the gun and start swinging,
I think it plenty sturdy, If I had to smash a rattle snake with it I think I would hold the stock end so as I could hit the head with the barrel.
If I had like a bear attacking not sure I could toss the gun hard enough to do any good, So bear attacks are out.
I do think maybe a baseball bat might be better in the long run , Hell of a lot cheaper, And the handle would feel better in the swing .
But that is a very good question of
HOW STURDY IS THE IMPACT,
Mike
If it is a new “distributor” that is in no way in any such way related to AOA that is a good thing.
can only be good a good thing….fuck AOA
Well…maybe you won’t have to worry about AOA much longer. There is a press release on AirgunNation forum RE: FX Airguns USA is set to open its doors this week. Apparently new distributors and dealers are going to join them in the USA. Press release says that Mr. Bull pup himself, Earnest Rowe, is joining them on the technical sides of things.
bought my first and only fx 10 years ago…a monsoon semi in .22 ….being from denmark, lots of my fellow shooters there where using fx rifles and spoke highly of them
well my rifle had a powercurve of a cell tower….inconsistent too i messed with HST as per aoa instructions they promised me that would not void any warrenties (there was a seal on the HST)….got it pretty flat but now it was doing 800-820 not 900 as the included shotstring showed (that string must have been from a different rifle)….contacted aoa again, now they said i voided the warranty but would make an exception and have me send it in…i did at my own cost….a month later it was returned….little did they know i had put small marks on the rifle to see if they adjusted or had it apart …nothing had been adjusted….or opened up….i shot it over my chrony and it was still slow. so i call them and ask what they did to it…and they straight up lie about all this stuff they had done to it and it was such a sweet rifle, i would not be able to put it down now that it had a custom tune….i told them about my pencil marks…and theres a pause…and he said that they used their own marks…
i sold it, informed the new buyer about its shortcommings he didnt care, he was gonna shoot in the house 10m ….
i dont have a problem with fx if i was in scandinavia…you can send it straight to Frederik /factory and they will take care of you….here in the US you have to deal with AOA ….i see straightshooters carries fx too, i wonder who will take a look at the rifle if something is up, SS or AOA
Was being sarcastic.. Anyway if I spent 3grand in a gun, I DONT expect leaks every so often.

Are his o.rings gold plated ?? 3000 dollars.on orings
.you can strip.and reseal the complete gun in about 30 mins with a few dollars of o rings
Rgds steve
I have one in 30cal and .22cal, never had a problem, no leaks no POI change, I do have the telescopic shroud on both barrels, I have changed barrels 30 to 22 and back to 30 and the POI hasn’t change, the same with the .22 no POI.
I know eventually I will change some o-rings but that is normal on a pcp. I’m getting a shroud from Neil Clague for the .30cal it’s loud! The .22 is very quiet.

Dt do you own an impact ??
The impact is most probably one of the easiest pcp,s to work..i own an.impact and changed a few o rings ,mainly reg o rings when your tey to set reg at T max and you go a mill to far and it will screw the top o ring on reg adjuster,a 5 minute fix to put new orings in there..
Sepremely accurate gun ,ive had no poi changes ,barrel can removed and it will shoot back in to same hole if you are consistant how you tighten the barrel screw
And of course with ernests excellent strip down vids Anyone has the capability to drop a new o ring in if required, the hardest o rings to fit are the 2 small reg o rings ,fiddly as hell.,so i made a small tool and can now fit both on reg shaft in about 20 seconds
Biggest prob from factory what i can see is lack of lube on o rings
Rgds steve
IMHO the Impact is way to complicated, has reliability issues and difficult to work on. Just check out Ernest’s vids. If you like to FUX around its a good choice.

DT
Interesting to hear of the quality and supply issues with FX (specifically, the impact). I’m a fan of their designs but don’t have much patience for sending my gun back and forth for repairs and tuning.
Thanks for all who gave honest feedback. My old FX500 was accurate, deadly and reliable but it was just too long. Ah well, the search continues..

VAT is actually around 24% in Europe and it doesn’t apply to exports. I would say it’s around 1000$ gun from the factory (which IMO is a lot for the quality they produce). Add some 50$ for freight, tax and customs + reasonable margin and it should cost 1600$ in US?
