Q:

How to buy pellets at Pyramid much cheaper

Have you guys noticed that Pyramid totally jacks up the price for shipping and handling when you buy pellets from their own site, but when you access their site via Amazon.com, shipping and handling is MUCH cheaper? To Hawaii, I’m talking shipping charges of $20 on Pyramid’s own site for four tins and $6 on Pyramid’s site for four tins WHEN YOU GO THERE VIA AMAZON. It’s a no brainer. Amazon must have policies that prevent retailers from shafting customers with outrageously overpriced shipping/handling charges. The only problem is that, while I can get .25 Barracudas at Pyramid via Amazon, I can’t get Eun Jins. For some reason, they have blocked our ability to buy EJ’s that route. This is all very fishy.

I live in Ohio and have to pay the dam state tax and some people want equal shipping costs somewhere that no highway connects to? Why don’t you make your own? Oh, it’s cheaper to get them shipped from Ohio via truck, rail, ship, and or air. I’m tired of subsidizing the rest of the world. Dam, you got beautiful weather, beautiful beaches, and no dam snow to shovel. An all you have to talk about is a lousy 2 buck shipping out to the middle of the pacific ocean?
So you found a way to save 2 bucks. Great, but that wouldn’t buy a cup of coffee here in Ohio and you expect me to subsidize your shipping costs.

Technically we should all pay “use tax” on good from out of state to our local state. That is such BS the local state doesn’t even attempt to collect it. BUT if you’re a business you must charge yourself the “use tax” otherwise an audit will cause problems.

How about taxing exports and imports instead of taxing our own people for buying American goods?

i feel his pain. as expensive as gas is, i could drive to PA if that were an option, and gas would be cheaper than shipping(even with pennsylvanias ridiculous tolls on the turnpike…) 👿

have you tried your local gun shop? i get mine through a little place in oconto falls ,wi. i’m only paying 5.00 a tin for kodiak match, plus tax and .50 cents a tin shipping.paid 57.75 for 10 tins. food for thought.

I am with Steve I buy a sleeve of Kodiaks

Hawaii and Alaska customers always get shafted on shipping, so that’s probably what’s happening. By US postal service, shipping is the same price all over the country, so there is no legitimate reason why PA charges $20 to ship four tins to Hawaii on their own site and $6 to ship four tins to Hawaii when you reach their site via Amazon. I still think it’s a screw job. And even though you don’t get the fifth tin free when you go there through Amazon, it still works out cheaper to buy that way due to excessive shipping charges.

I try to buy enough to get the free shipping. It’s much easier now that the minimum order for the free shipping has dropped to $100. For what I do, the .22 cal CP’s work well and those I get at Walmart for $7.00 per tin and no shipping hassles.

Exactly….

I bet Amazon doesn’t offer 4 tins for price of 3… You’ll noticed that PA offers 3/4 and 10% almost continually. If you add it up they get everyone to pay the same price… only one group thinks they’re getting a deal.
