How to decrease HPA expent for Talon valve? The answer!
On the one of the best airgun forum in the web – guns.ru – once was a discussion about WERY big expent of HPA per shot on talon. And decision was found!

Tried the valve with my .177 barrel. What a difference!
80 shots between 1015 and 1030fps with 10.34 grain JSB’s!
Now to check the grouping!

Two part breech – inner part is a piece of aluminum tube with 2 o-rings (holds a pressure while shooting). Outer part – piece of steel tube – it’s transfer hit from striker to walve.

Mine is 21 grams IIRC. How does he have the 2 part breech?

Marc & I use light hammers, my hammer is 22 gram.
I asked Pavel about this problem. And what he said: In my talon was wery strong valve spring, two-parts breech and light weight plastic hammer. Not heavy steel as in new talons.
Maybe it’s the answer?
Breech works as it should! I think the 4,5mm caliber is less subjective to the backpressure on the tophat. I might throw in a 4,5mm barrel and test how that does!

Hello!
Hm… I’m little surprised. Maybe trouble in breech? PrOsT used two-parts breech – inner part (not mooving) was holding the presse while outer mooving part transfer hit from hammer to valve.
I’ll ask PrOsT himself, maybe he’ll tell us what’s the problem?
