Hummingbird…aka…"The Blackbird" Revealed

Dear Thimble-Dick,
The President of Egypt, back in ancient times, told his elite troops to chase down Moses and the Jews, after they had staged a work stoppage, and took unauthorized Personal Leaves of Absence to visit their ancestral home in Israel…“After they Ass…grab ’em by de ears, and pump ’em full ‘O holes wid yo Nines!!!. Don shoot da bitches…slap dem on da head, and bring ’em back so’s they can cook and shit!”(sic)
Well, we know that didn’t work out well, due to an improper decision based on incomplete information, and poor planning…remember, this was before “Google”!
It is from the history of individuals long since gone, that we learn mistakes are made in life, and those mistakes have consequences. You are never too old to make mistakes.

It wasn’t two grand. Just $1500…(ouch)
We try new things and we learn. At least it’s a fixable flaw. I should have stuck with waiting for the Edgun Leyla, but it’s been months now and they still are not here. So I grabbed a used Hummingbird. Nice little gun, except for the indexing flaw. Prior owner failed to mention that little problem. Oh well…live and learn from our mistakes.
Leadpecker….You Pricklet!!! You don’t have a .25 Leyla! Perhaps in March. I heard they are only 12 FPE…. :butkick:

WHAAAT ???? …you buy a 2 grand gun and have to wait for aftermarket parts before you can shoot it 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯
Hoot:
I might show you mine 🙂
So why does uncle Hoot need to wait so long to get it. Seems like you need better connections

What I need is a .25 Leyla.
Hoot:
Uncle Hoot you know you need to shoot some one hole groups at 50 yards to even think about working on stock. You could end up with a nice paddle for your boat. We all know you don’t have that kind of time on your hands to beautify boat paddles. Heck they are under water half the time anyways.

Still waiting for indexing parts from Ernest.

Dear Suet-Gobbler,
I have thought about a bi-pod and dismissed the idea. The gun is very short, 27″, and some accessories don’t make much sense on a sub-compact bullpup. From a looks standpoint, it would look like headlights strapped on a cat. Just out of place. The gun is so light, it is easier to simply hold it against a tree, a bystander, or put a folded up jacket under it, before taking your shot. At the shooting range, I would simply grab a sandbag and use that.
The only way to add such an accessory would be to strap it on. The only forum member I know who uses “strap-on’s” is SeCoda. Most of us know the success he has had with that. Poor sap…some guys just can’t catch a break!
The scope is a 4 X 15, side focus, Sight-Mark. A $200 Chinese piece of glass. Owner’s manual was short and to the point…one page. It said:
User’s Manual
a) Lookee-see
2) Lookee-shoot
Strange people, those Chinese. The scope is a very nice piece of equipment and is very clear and well built.
Regards,
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:
HOOT, nice job you did on your BIRDS’ stock. Really makes your rifle look much better to the eye then the original plain stock. What is the scope
you have on it ? Do you think it’s going to be possible to add a bipod to it , if so looks as if some kind of attachment will have to go around the
air bottle.

Dear ‘Pecker…
So, a dope walks up a hill, with a bottle of Windex in his pocket, followed by a baby goat??????
The rumor is…the better part of your brains ran down your mother’s leg, because she wouldn’t stop barking after an intimate encounter with your father, who was last seen chasing a cat down an ally in your home town.
I’m beginning to believe some of these things I hear about you! My first suggestion is don’t father any offspring. My second is take a Biscodyl tablet, and let some of the bullshit drain from that empty spot in your head.
With best regards, and indeed, some concern for your mental well-being!
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:
(The above advice is not a medically sound treatment for mental disorders. It is, however, an accepted ‘Naturalist’ remedy for brain compression due to constipation, and will be the source of severe cramps prior to the release of a substantial amount of undesirable bodily fluids and debris.)
