In order….

It’s the quietest air gun I’ve owned. I added vent holes at the rear of the shroud. It is beyond “Backyard Friendly”.

The scope rings are “High”, and my eye lines up nicely. X-tra-High rings might work better for some shooters, but I’m satisfied with what I’ve got.

I did the stock myself. Took four days. It took about a pound off the weight. Besides the shape, I thinned the sides some, and put finger grooves in the hand grip. There is a LOT of extra wood present. I stopped early to see how it felt, and looked, before I went further. I can still remove more from the back.

It’s a sub-compact tack hammer. Ernest set 18.1gr pellets at 950 fps, at least that’s what it measured on my chrony. I find I get three usable
magazines before I need to fill to 3200 psi. I shoot down to 1000 psi. Depending on fps and pellet weight, that’s anywhere from 34 to 36 fpe potential.

I’ll try to post some groups tomorrow.

Hoot:

PS: When the spring loaded indexer comes back from Ernest, I’ll post pictures. It can’t fail because the new spring pulls the index rod firmly against the magazine each time the gun has been cocked. As such, the magazine has to rotate each time the gun is cocked, because the index rod is always in magazine contact now, and pushed upwards by the bolt cocking mechanism. The old magnet system pulled the index rod away from the magazine after the gun was cocked, to prevent double loading. The index rod then failed many times to fall back into place against the magazine, after the shot. The spring defeats the magnet, pulls the index rod against the magazine full time, thus no indexing failure can result.

Now that definitely looks better there Unks, did you have Maddog do that for you? looks good in black…

Personally Id still prefer the older petite walnut one..

So the Deadly Blackbird has finally hatched. I like it. Are you going to keep your scope mounted that low?

I was talking to Peter from TAG the other day and we were talking about suppressors. He said the hummingbird sounds like its shooting 12 fpe with their new baffle design. How does it sound to you HOot? I know you got a crazy cat lady next to you who squirts when she hears loud noises.

I wish they lined up the shroud with the air tube. It would look better like in the original picture.

Flash artifact….

Why yes…it is an improvement on the original canoe paddle design. Not much, but better than it was. Thank you for asking.

It feels way better than lacquered birch…..Bitch!

Hoot:

Improved??? It seems you’ve made your canoe paddle slightly less efficient by reducing the surface area of the paddle. You may want to extend the handle a foot or two to gain better leverage to make up for it…

The white stain does contrast the BBird. :darth-vader:

Correction…….”Bitches!”
