Hummingbird/Colibri Delayed
Technical issues. No new release date given. Could be a looooong while before we see them. π π π What’s sad is they are holding money and doing price increases on them. Yikes.

Well I was thinking the Colibri would be my second high priced air gun – but if it isn’t semi – I think I’ll bow out.
Have you ever seen how aggressive hummingbirds are. My feeder is like a war zone when the males swoop in. :suprisedn:
The ruby throated are little killers… I’ve been swooped on a number of times and I’m the guy that feeds them – lol
Well I hope it take some time otherwise I’ll have to sell everything to buy one this year π
Since WAGG pulled it off of their web site I would say that there really is no Hummingbird (vaporware) – not even a manual one. When there was one coming the latest price was $1675.
Where can I read up on this gun seems there are a lot off people wanting one.. Not me just curious .
I am still waiting on my 25 Cricket to get here, Then all the goodies have to be put on it, So I will be so broke I will not be able to Pay attention ,
But I will have a 22 and 25 Cricket,
If I sell all my springs for 1/2 of what I got in them I might buy a 177 Cricket,
So you guys tell me about this Hummingbird/ Where can I learn?
Mike :smilen:
just curious, how much is the manual Colibri?
When they redesigned the Hummingbird to the Sesame Street Big Bird a lot of us lost interest. If they get rid of the semi-auto feature too then they may need bring back the Compact. :angrymob:
Mike,
Thanks for that. On that spec sheet it is listed at just over 29″ I was thinking that if it was actually 24″ I could just add some spacers to the buttplate to get it to 26″ if that wouldn’t mess up the length of pull too much. I guess we just gotta wait to see what this gun is going to be once it comes out.
Drumie,
Donβt hold me responsible for what I am about to say, Iβm old and so is my memory, and at this point in time no one knows much about the elusive hummingbird. In the beginning there were a couple hummingbirds out there and I do believe they were at the 22β – 24β in length and many were excited due to the compact length. Since the Vegas gun show I believe they reported to have a length to be in the neighborhood of 29β. I wouldnβt put much trust in my memory unless someone here concurs, then again this may all be a dream. Cheers
Maybe I wasnβt dreaming, hereβs an excerpt from Ted holdover: scroll down the page till you see the part discussing the hummingbird.
One problem I just noticed with the Hummingbird is the OAL. It is listed as 620mm (24 inches). That is too short for a firearm in NY and a lot of other states. I know in someplaces a airgun isn’t considered a firearm but that law can be gray sometimes. I would love to get one when it comes out but might not due to this fact.
Aaaah okay, thought you meant U.S. vendors.
Here is one but i saw a lot of them taking deposits. http://www.airgunbuyer.com/details.asp?cat=Air%20Rifles&SubCat=Kalibrgun&Product=4833
Who’s “holding money” as far as I know, no vendor/potential vendor has taken deposits as it was a suspicion that this could be a drawn out affair.
This might be Kalibrguns first real SNAFU. It seems like they all bite off more than they can chew at some point. When we hear that the Colibri designer got the Russian firing squad we can bank that no semi Bird is ever coming. :5:
Well I’ve never seen/handled a Colibri but if the quality is the same as the bigger Cricket brother then it should be a good take.
Nevertheless if you order a semi-auto then you expect to receive a perfectly working semi-auto.
This said, I would consider a manual Colibri only if they come at this point with a nice discount. π
Sounds reasonable to me considering that the gun is coming with “reduced” options and the customer has to be “refunded” for this. π
A good opportunity for Kalibrgun to show what kind of player they are. :8:

And they are not very tasty either.
