Q:

Hummingbird/Colibri Delayed

Technical issues. No new release date given. Could be a looooong while before we see them. 😆 😆 😆 What’s sad is they are holding money and doing price increases on them. Yikes.

I wish, that is serial number 00001 for the bird, and 0001 for the bug, they could be the Kalibr owner’s guns or some other lucky high up. I do have one of the first 200 Cricket Std .22 WST, number one sixty something and it’s a real keeper.

How much have some of you put down for these? TGAG we’re selling these for $1,550 about two weeks ago but up the price since they we’re suppose to be inbound. Looks like a change in plan.

How much is Steve offering the Colibri for if it’s manual and not semi auto?

I suspected earlier they retired the compact because of the Colibri, but I did not expect it to mean less functional Colibri.
If you are in the market for compact and small size is what you are looking for don’t ignore it. I expect many (if not most) of the current orders are already cricket owners and for those the new propsed manual colibri would be hard to justify a 2K spending.

Awny

I guess to ditch the skeleton Compact Cricket may be the only way to sell the lame birds now. If the semi’s aren’t reliable after well over a year since the prototype than a redesign is probably in order. The skeleton Compact Cricket beats a repeater Bird decidedly. Hopefully, they can resurrect the semi version but I highly doubt it is this year. For now it appears the Bird may be the ugly duckling Compact replacement. Too bad. I also let Steve know it is semi or bust.

IMHO the manually operated version is probably more accurate and reliable than a semi. Also the Colibri is more compact than a Cricket so it has some great potential. I wont pass on a good deal for one if they are as accurate as their big brothers.

I already replied to Steve that I see no point of the manual Colibri. The cricket is already there!

Some official verbiage from Steve forwarding letter from KalibrGun. It doesn’t sound good.

Hello Everyone,

First I hope that you are doing well and enjoying the summer. Late in the week we received an email from KalibrGun with the latest news on the Colibri. Prior to the receipt of the email we expected the airguns to already be boxed and ready for shipment. Obviously not. I copied and pasted for everyone to see. There is little we can do to remedy the situation. I am asking for everyone’s input as to whether or not a manually operated Colibri would be of interest. Please email and let me know.

Dear all, due to unfortunate technical issues of the already mounted Colibri rifles and the fact that they are not 100% functional as we want them to be, we can not allow such product to hit the market at the moment. The issues are being solved at the moment and we are constantly doing our best to bring them to you as soon as humanly possible. One option how to solve the current situation is to deliver the Colibri model in the multi-shot configuration(like the Cricket and Carabine models), which can be done in approximately 4-5 weeks. Another possibility would be to wait for the semi-auto model as announced in the order form and catalogue, but at the moment being we do not know how long might the process of technical issues solving last. Therefore we can not provide you with the release date yet. The next option would be to offer you the Cricket and Carabine models in your chosen configuration in the amount of the already payed Colibris. And finally the full refund is also the possibility if neither of the higher mentioned options is suitable for you.

Best regards / S pozdravem Edita Launová
