Q:

I almost sold my Edgun!!!

I was actually thinking about selling my Edgun a few days ago so I could try a Daystate Airwolf or a 50 FPE Air Ranger. 😳 I was going to do this knowing I would definitely buy another Edgun, but I just can’t do it! I shot her again today and it’s just so badass! To tell you the truth, as soon as I removed her from the case and picked her up I already knew she wasn’t going anywhere. What if the other Edgun I buy isn’t as consistent as mine is?

The Edgun is so much more than just accurate. The Edgun is light and shoulders well. It’s short and compact and so consistent from shot to shot that it exceeds my expectations, which never happens. It is so quiet when used with the add-on SM that it sounds like it’s being dry fired when shot outside. If I am going to try to find something to complain about, I do wish it were a multi-shot but hopefully the rumors about the Semi-Auto kit are true. I also wish the gray paint were black or a darker gray. I want it to look like the one in the Edgun website that spins around. A high quality synthetic stock would be the best. Remember that I am trying to nit pick here… the Edgun is frickin awesome!!! If I do decide to sell it, I’ll have to buy another one within a couple of months or I’ll go into heavy Edgun withdrawal! I thought about selling my FX Royale 400 instead but I just got her and haven’t had a chance to really play with her yet, plus the Edgun is very easy to sell. The last one that was on The Yellow Forum sold for full price in 20 minutes. It beats waiting for 2 months for one. I’ll let the guys here know first if I do end up selling the Edgun. The Edgun is a must have for me and either way I’ll end up with one whether I keep this one or buy another in a few months. I just want to try the Daystate but I might have to figure out another way to fund my curiosity.

“V”, all you guy’s are really making my mouth water for a EDGun! 😀

But like you, I really want to try out the new Wolf!!! Love the 400, BUT!!! I shoot left handed mostly. (Left Master eye). Wish they made the stock for Ambi. 🙁

Ed, I know what you mean about putting a bit of your Heart an Soul into every piece you build. It’s what we do.

Ed, when you get the chance, check out the link under my post. It is what I have been doing for over 30 years now. I never would have dreamed that my work would have become so highly collectible the World Over. It really feels good to have your work appreciated and sought after.

If my back wasn’t hurting so much, I would have already made another Lovett Knife and sold it to purchace my self a EdGun for Christmas! 😉

Mike

I put my newly acquired FX Royale 400 .22 caliber walnut stock up for sale in the Yellow classifieds and in this forum’s FOR SALE section. I don’t really want to sell it but i guess I want to try the Daystate more. This is my add below:

FX ROYALE 400 WALNUT STOCK .22 CALIBER $1295 SHIPPED

This is a beautiful walnut stock, FX Royale 400 in .22 caliber and sells at Airguns of Arizona for $1595. It is in excellent condition and is completely trouble free and works like new. This air rifle is currenlty the best performing full length PCP air rifle I have shot. The side lever is so smooth and easy to cock and the magazine is well thought out and very easy to load. I have been using JSB 18.1 grain and Beeman 21.1 grain Kodiak pellets, and this rifle performs great with either pellet. This will be a great hunting or target rifle for someone. It is honestly too easy to make one hole groups unless you shoot at long distances. She is easily capable of shooting 1/2″ groups at 50 yards and I have been amazed at the air efficiency of this air rifle. You will easily get 50-60 great shots and you’ll get an average of about 35 ft/lbs in a 50 shot string. Using 21.1 grain Beeman Kodiaks and filling her up to 3200 psi, shot #50 was at 862 fps or 34.82 ft/lbs. I decided to continue shooting to see how many good shots I could get with one fill and at shot 80 I was still at 811 fps! That’s 30.82 ft/lbs for shot #80!

I am only selling this rifle because I really want to try a Daystate Airwolf and they are not cheap. I will take a US postal money order or a payment through Paypal and the rifle will be double boxed and packaged well and shipped using UPS or FedEx. First “I’ll take it” gets this beautiful tach driver. Feel free to call me or leave a message if you have any questions. Please check me out on the BOI under my name, Bobby Escay. I have no doubt you’ll be very happy with this air rifle! I really wish I didn’t have to sell it. The scope and rings are not included.

Hey ED, I don’t care about the blood, it is not needed. I know that you put your heart into every Edgun! PLEASE assemble me a long version, with the new LW barrel, and let Tony know that it is ready to go!

As much as I love my Edgun, I’d trade her in for Jessica Alba dancing for me in that outfit everyday! 😆

Ed your damn Edgun Voodoo has hooked me too. I had to mount the
Edgun in the dining room so I could see it all the time and every time
I walk past I am drawn to it an just have to stare at it for a minute.
I have thought about if I would sell it in the future and already know if
I had to sell it for some reason I would get another ASAP.

I’ve been selling my guns since 2002 and I got used to the fact that people first buy it, then find something more interested or are not satisfied with the quality of Edgun or some other reason and sell it. In a while I see a message from many of them “Want to get another one!” I have clients who did it five or even more times. When I tried to find out what was the reason of the following buying the answer was very uncertain, like “You know, I do not know why but when I sell it I feel a kind of emptiness and I need to buy another one!” I consider it as drug and myself as mental drug dealer 🙂 That is because EVERY gun I sold was assembled by myself, it keeps the warm of my hands and piece of my soul. I even noticed a fact if during the assembling of testing guy I wound myself and a drop of my blood touched the gun — it will be perfect whatever will happen. I noticed it and wanted to make it as a factory factor 🙂 I failed it works only in a case when the wound was made accidentally not especially. 🙂

So, Bobby, you can sell it, you are hooked already and have no way out 🙂

Ed

😀 varminter just let me know and I’ll take it off your hands so you can fund your airwolf.

I would sell my Harleys, my second car and all of my other toys before I would sell my Edgun ❗

I am waiting for Tony to email me that the long Edguns, with the new barrels, are ready. A guy needs at least two Edguns!
