Q:

I am afraid you underestimate EDgun Veles :)

Here is my working tool, which lives in my car for more then 2 years already, it survived when it was minus 38 degrees Centigrade and now when it is plus 35 degrees Centigrade (100F). It is ordinary Veles, which throughs 7.5 grain, .177 caliber pellets with 220 m/sec (725 f/sec) to the targets. My longest resulted shot was seagull at 71 meters (77 yards), head shot, clean. I use red dot scope Falke-1 very light weight and I wouldn’t say very cute but I am used to it and there is no problem to aim and kill a crow up to 50 meters, besides it is much easier to aim crow then egg or tangerine 🙂 Really nice pistol for small game like the back yard hunting 🙂

Very good Ed… The matador 6.5mm is becoming a very precise and
powerful rifle with the JSB Kings… Did you maybe discuss heavier pellets
with JSB?

I still do not believe that .25 can be accurate, but if you find it such I am glad but will never guarantee it, you, guys, who buy .25 caliber Matador do it on your own risk 🙂

As for new JSB, they are on the way to test some, new equipment is to be ordered.

Great gun Ed and your hands are still very fast… Nice to catch the egg before
breaking…. 😆

I am not a pistol guy so, you guys are going to have to give this one a run… I am still working on the Lelya 5.5mm .22cal… Should be my last…. 🙄

In September we will test Veles .22 with 245 mm barrel, I expect it to be very interesting thing 🙂

As for Lelya .22, plan to send them to Tony in Septermber, we are out of barrels for them now 🙁

Eh Uncle Hoot,

I hope your sitting down. I emailed Tony with some questions.

Price of short Veles———-980.00 😥 Mark

But…but….my left nut isn’t worth $980.00!

Both my nuts aren’t worth $980.00!

What woman is going to be attracted to a one-eyed old man with no nuts and hair on his ass?

Well…..perhaps in Arkansas…

Moderator cannot be brought in however Ed says that the barrel is threaded.

Wait is couple of months

Would be fun if I could afford it but I’ll probably buy the 25 before anything else. I just hope the 25 will be available ten to twleve months from now.

I don’t know what the cost is. Might be interesting to know.

After the recent mass-purchase around here, I’m betting that the cost will fall somewhere between one’s left nut and their marriage. For Mam, it will likely require a deal with the devil.

I found this on Eduard’s site:

Caliber .177/4.5 mm
Muzzle velocity adjustable, up to 800 ft/s / 240 m/s
Length 270 mm
Width 30 mm
Height 160 mm
Weight 0,9 kg
Barrel length 195 mm
Barrel Lothar Walther
Reservoir capacity 40 cm3
Operation pressure range 240-100 bar
Number of shots per one filling, not less than 30 (Wow! 😯 )
Base for rifle scope or red dot scope 3/8″ dovetail rail
Open sights rear sight and foresight
Sound moderator absent. An additional moderator can be supplied

I don’t know what the cost is. Might be interesting to know.

ED,

Does the short Veles barrel come threaded? And if so, can you give thread size?

Thanks

Yes, threaded M10x1.25.

What is the length with the moderator attached?

Short Veles — 330 mm (12.9″) long and moderator 80 mm (3.15″) so 410 (16″).

I doubt that the upcoming 12″ barrel mrod pistol will be as accurate as this
Velez with a 7.68″ barrel.

Ed,

What is the length with the moderator attached?

quote Tracer22:

Ed, you call it the ordinary Velez. Is that the short Velez with a 7.68″ (195mm) barrel with a moderator attached? Or does it have a longer barrel with a moderator? Very accurate for a short barrel.

It is short one with the barrel 195 mm long, moderator attached.

I never thought much of PCP pistols – too few shots – not enough range – and usually pretty bulky (the MRod pistol looks just silly to me, MHO). But, that Veles….I would like to get to know. That pistol looks like the ultimate backyard varmint remover. I would leave all the screens off my windows.
