Is three to young to shot a pellet gun? Would you rather wait until they are 12 and can tell you about SEX? So we had a little miss hap.
Nothing major, Maybe I should not put a target near glass.
All I was doing was fixing some stuff and teaching my boy to shoot.
I just tried to take the fall but lets say I was a little proud! He broke his first window at a very young age. My wife IS PISSED to her I am the worst man in the world right know.

There is content that just isn’t for little kids. It seems like every news cast is full of atrocities that’s inappropriate for kids…especially little kids. It’s our job to censor what our kids see. As they get older, they will be exposed to more of the garbage. Again, it’s our job to explain it to them.
So, your kid goes off to pre-school, or kindergarten in two more years and talks about shooting the window with dad. Some type A teacher, or aid calls children’s services and says that your kid has access to firearms, (remember that adult is going to intrepret what your kid said to fit her little world, or agenda). Now you have child services with law enforcement entering your home and going through your house. That’s the world we live in now. Just sayin’.
Don’t open your safe. Make them get a search warrant.

Its crazy though parents let them watch Violent cartoons, Play shooting video games were they are aiming at people.
Our boy knows were a baby comes from although he is insistent its going to get stuck.
My thought was If you don’t teach them someone else will.
I guess the Pellet gun thing will need to wait a few more years.

Yeah, 3 is kinda young.
My son is ALMOST 6 (june) and he just recently handled his 1st gun which was a customized 2240 turning into a petite carbine. 14″ barrel and shroud. Adjustable stock and all. He is also pretty tall for his age and damned smart and he TAKES DIRECTION TO A TEE!
Even then, i had so much steel and protection around the target that even a very bad aim would have resulted in a pellet hitting solid steel.
He showed GREAT FORM and GREAT CONSISTENCY in hitting the target center each and everytime.
Since then, we’ve practiced a ton and the kid is good.
BUT, I SIT BEHIND HIM and MAKE SURE HE IS AIMING AT THE TARGET and no were else.
I can’t believe you would let a 3 year old even hold a gun. I
don’t think you a bad person, but you seem to be lacking good judgement.
By all means, teach your son to shoot when he has matured enough. At 3
you should be teaching him not to even touch a gun.
Could you imagine what would happen if CPS caught wind of this?
Replace it, quick! 😉 I started my son when he was 7…with a .22 rimfire…the girl was 9 at that time. They did well. Maybe wiat 2 more years and start him with a Daisy Buck BB gun.

1.All guns are always loaded.
2.Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3.Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4.Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us-whether you’re 3 or 40. This weekend I hit a high pressure water pipeline with my Talon SS. I hit the 2inch PVC pipe dead centre at 130 yrds resulting in the water shooting up over 100ft into the air and the worst is, it was hidden behind a bush. The pellet should never have reached it-Murphy loved it-S.0.B!!.
As long a lesson is learnt when these mishaps take place…
