I know Petr. Since before the Colibri debacle. Bought from him before, dealing primarily with his dad, Bori. Old school Bori who thinks a handshake is sufficient. I like that about him. Petr was trying to do too much. I know he had to leave his airgun business during the week to attend his main job. He told me he usually took TGAG work with him, things which needed his attention. I knew then it was too much for him to try to keep a job and run a business long distance. We talked about it several times. He knows how I feel\felt about it.

Petr sent me two samples of the Colibri, one after the first failed (even after being sent to Ernest Rowe to try to fix it). when the second Colibri had the same issues, I asked for and received a refund. So I know Petr will try to do whatever he can to make things right. I think he tried to make TGAG work, but the business required his full attention, and that was hard to do with him holding down a full time job out of town.

I’m currently waiting for him to service my Mutant Short. He sent a text saying he’s machining CZub barrels to the OEM length, and will get to my gun as soon as he can.He even told me why the other barrels were longer.I’ll only say he meant well, but guessed wrong about how they’d be received by some of the buying publi.c I ordered a CZub barrel from him so I expect to see my Short returned at the OEM length of 22.85 inches, and shooting like a laser. I know I’ll have to be patient. But I did tell him the weather is warming up. Besides, I admire those that have the Shorts that are performing well. I want some of that for myself.
Petr’s a nice man to talk with. We’ve had some good conversations about airguns. He may have been overwhelmed by trying to do to much, but I can say he never doubted what I told him, and gave me the benefit of the doubt when I told him of issues I was having. He meant well. I know that.

Petr is a stand up guy, he is a personal friend of mine who I have done business with and have shot together many times. Petr would give his shirt off his back. He does have a lot going on with selling this business and other stuff he has going on and I think is a little over whelmed. I am not going to elaborate on that but you would be more sympathetic if you knew Petr.

As for Joe, he runs a great business and I have never had a problem with dealings with him. 100% – Joe will make HIS dealings right and I think you can buy with confidence. TGAG, like Talon Tunes and other great sites do a great business and help advance the sport with innovation.

quote Joe Brancato:

BTW, ask ScottM what HE thinks of the Mutant with stock barrel he got from me. One-hole groups!
I hope he finds this post.

This noob just joined yesterday, I did see this post and here’s my story. I was researching to buy my first PCP for months and everything kept pointing me back to the Taipan Mutant (standard size model)

That didn’t take long….

Scott you have a std. The standard mutants come with the CZ barrels from the manufacture. So i would expect one-hole groups. .

Great gun enjoy it.

The Topic at hand here evolves around the Shorty with shitty korean barrel that is labeled made in germany. Had you said you had a shorty with that barrel id be throwing the red flag.

You must be referring to this here scott… Yeh STD mutant…. they are tac drivers…. Lets not confuse the 2. the Shorty is the Mutant with the Barrel Issues…

This noob just joined yesterday, I did see this post and here’s my story. I was researching to buy my first PCP for months and everything kept pointing me back to the Taipan Mutant (standard size model). I’ve read everything I could find written about them and still was and was questioning myself about making the right decision. I finally reached out to talk to someone privately I knew owned one and had a very long talk about the airgun(s). This person was frank, honest and didn’t know me. <<< You know who you are, Thank you again! After our lengthy Q & A talk, I called Joe B. and we also talked for quite a while. Now I never knew or have purchased anything for Joe B. before but he had all the answers to my questions and did some things for me that really made my decision a “no brainer”. Joe even posted stuff on his Facebook site about the airgun! I’ve had the standard size Taipan Mutant for a few weeks now and I can’t say enough good about the airgun or Joe! Now with Joe purchasing another business, that’s a tough decision to make and my gut feeling is that everything about the business wasn’t fully disclosed to Joe prior to purchasing. That’s how businesses operate…sell the good, hide the bad…sad but true. A good business deals with adversities and they don’t change overnight but they will or else they’re doomed for failure. It takes so much time, effort, dedication and personal sacrifice, most people that attempt to start a business, fail at business…miserably. From my experience, Joe has been a pleasure to do business with and DOES run a good business. OK, I’m done ranting. I like my airgun a lot!

1) To my knowledge, I have been told every previous dealing that Petr has made is in the process of being corrected, or has been corrected. A few guns got the wrong labels on them, some guys got rifles intead of Bullpups, the other guys got Bullpups instead of rifles, some got .22’s instead of .25’s. I’ll say this for the people who don’t know. I had nothing to do with these, and I am still injecting myself to help clear up their issues.

I was told that the original poster that has an issue with the shipping, had the same last name as another customer. Hence they kept thinking they shipped it. I can believe that happening, but it has been corrected or will be Monday.

2) I can only cure, what I know about. I have no way of reading 4-5 forums, and assisting to cleari up each and every Cluster @#$@Q that was done prior to my purchasing TGAG a couple weeks ago If I don’t know about it. I have spent many hours on the phone coordinating with Petr and his helper on correcting their mistakes. Again, to MY knowledge, all customers are in agreement as to the solutions.

While I’d prefer you contact the person who sold to you the rifle (Petr), I will continue to assist you in preventing any issues from falling between the cracks becuase I want to help if needed.

3) Those thad DO know me, know that I have always come through, QUICKLY, and at 100%.

4) I am out here in Arizona picking up inventory. I MIGHT be reachable as I am driving back this evening. As for now, we have been loading literally tons of pellets onto a large rental truck, along with the remaining Hubens, Vulcans, etc.

5) Anyone who asked for a refund, got a refund. I think Petr had possibly one refund in the last 2 weeks o so since I’ve had the business.

I am hoping that all issues will have been corrected by this weekend. Since I now have most of the rifles, I will be shipping from my place all new orders. These will be MY responsibility. I have 2 full-time helpers and they have a check-list with which to review for caliber, stock, all sorts of things to verify before shipping. We’re not perfect, but we do a pretty good job, as others will attest.

I know I have to ship a few guns that were mis-labeled and shipped to the wrong people. Hopefully, after this week everyone should be 100% satisied. I don’t know why all this happened so recently with Petr. Prior to the last 2 weeks, I thought TGAG had a good reputation, andthat I’d only make it better with my record by the fact that we are a full time store with 3 employees vs. a guy working the business as a side-job. Possibly Petr was over-whelmed recenlty, hence the issues, but we are all getting through it.

All I ask is if you aren’t getting a response from Petr, let me know.

p.s.While I was loading boxes at Petr’s, I saw he was machining barrels for the Mutants. Note: While Peter has gotten out of the business, he is selling off his Mutants as personal sales. While I didn’t feel like purchasing a business, only to have the owner directly compete with me, part of the deal was that Petr got to sell the Mutants in his inventoy by himself for a limited time. I have a few of my own in stock for now anyway. BTW, ask ScottM what HE thinks of the Mutant with stock barrel he got from me. One-hole groups!
I hope he finds this post.

:angrymob: who’s next?

OK guys put the popcorn down,
I got my refund,
Mike

walkingking

It was all a lie, Gun was not shipped, Filed a clam with PayPal , Just tired of all the lies,
Mike

Call Fed Ex and have them use your address to see if a package has been sent to you. Tell them you were not given a tracking number by the sender

Oh one other thing, If you call Peter you get hold of Joe at Top Gun,
So peter and Joe are working together, But Joe wants nothing to do with the guns Peter sold. WTF
This is the phone # and E mail I got.
I just called for a tracking number.

Not a scam…..I’m just so busy and disorganized my left hand doesn’t know what my right hand is doing
It was shipped Tuesday through FedEx

I have been in correspondence with Jeff from TGAG which is now owned by Joe B. I’m assuming Jeff works with Joe??? I was asked to send back my barrel for a CZ. Because of the history with TGAG, I was apprehensive about doing just that. I asked them to send me the barrel first so I can check it for myself. Ordinarily, I would do as instructed but like I said I a bit afraid of the outcome. Im going to work with them for now and send them the “made in Germany” barrel because Joe B. now owns TGAG. I expect Joe to make it right because I have good buying history with his company.

Yeah, I was initially pissed because of the bait and switch but at least Joe is trying to make it right by sending me a CZ barrel. Everything will be alright only if the CZ barrel performs as it should. I will post updates. Luckily, Joe is only about 60 miles from my home which should expedite the process… I hope 😐

One other thing, the mutant short is worth it. Otherwise, I would have returned it as soon as I found out it had a fugazi barrel. I agreed with Keyser, old- TGAG did Taipan wrong.

Gabe

Well I got an Email today saying the gun was shipped Tuesday , He was so busy he forgot ? No tracking number!!!!!
Now I am asking for a Fed EX tracking number as the Fed Ex is contract drivers if they do not have my directions and phone number the box will be shipped back address unknown,
I just hope Peter was not so busy he forgot to check the barrel and put it on right,
I know some of you guys think I am taking this to hard but I been lied to four times, Three times if it was shipped Tuesday
My Pay Pal , (I think the guy was from India) and my CC company said it sound like a internet scam with one company buying another company and will not stand buy the products sold buy the company,
I am sure Joe Brancato will be changing the name of Top Gun as he wants to wash his hands of all of Peters deals through Top Gun.
So the people that bought guns and other stuff I am sure from Top Gun will have to go to Peter who has a full time job and is no longer in the air gun business, He is so busy he did even no he shipped my gun, Good luck with your warranty dealing with Peter,
Do you really think Peter will worry about customer service or reputation ,
That’s why Joe Brancato wants nothing to do with TOP GUN sales and deals as of March 1st, Not sure how legal that is?
I sure you guys are tired of my rant, I am going to turn it off , And just wait
Unless I do not get a shipping Tracking number , Then its rant back on,
Oh with shipping and CZ barrel my gun cost 1,300 bucks.
Mike
