Makes sense enough to me Voltar. I’ve got certifications that say I’m a professional, but I don’t believe it. 😉
professional??? DAQ is a professional and BBB is a hobbiest
No worries walt. You’re a hobbiest too, just as I am. Where, really, is that line drawn.
cool,
line…. when the training and experience provide you with a legitamate right to open a business or be employed by a business in that capacity.
So as you correctly say ‘we’ are hobbiests as is BBB
now some hobbiests bring more to the table than others but that is indeed half the fun of airguns. We can dig in as deep as we dare and make as many mistakes as we can afford 🙂
Cheers,
But not this one!

I like these two as well

…and these two.

you mean like these two?

Don’t start by telling us about your hot tub jets. 😛
💡 Damn it would be nice to have a hot tub.
How ’bout them cowgirls!
All’s well. Now, what else can I find to blabber on about? 🙄 😆
I understand it’s just paperwork and it just protects against idiots etc… But, it doesn’t really say just that does it? Again, it’s not a big deal, it just seems odd to me and especially the part about the mods when I’ve never heard any advice from DAQ suggesting his guns not be modded by BBB…
Don’t let anything I’ve said here suggest I don’t think you’ll be thrilled with the gun. (The boys even make slugs for the .308s…) I’m just rambling about the odd “oath” that’s all.
Of course Jerry, that’s all we do here on the net. What else did you think it’s for. 😛 I’ve taken what you’ve said as nothing more than blabber and I hope that’s all you got out of mine. 😀 No tension here dude. :11
Hey, what I do in my hot tub is my business and you have no right to blab all over the internet about it! 😆 😆

I guess so! I figure when another professional modifies the guns operation the legal liability would change.

Again guys, it’s just paperwork to save his ass if a situation should arise. You never know with some people now a days.
Good idea, and not a big deal. Just don’t do stupid shit with your rifle and blame it on the maker.
You wouldn’t get your dick stuck in a hot tub jet and sue the manufacturer because the hole was too small…. or would you.

Well, as far as I can tell, the oath attempts to transfer all liability to the customer. I suppose BBB is liable for his actions like anyone else but I doubt he’d willingly assume any liability for the safety of the gun after the mod. In fact, I’d bet that in the event of an unfortunate circumstance, his lawyer would argue that the sad events were a result of an original defect. DAQ’s representative would then note that the customer had committed to bring no legal action for any reason against DAQ.
I’m not trying to start anything bad here but the whole idea of having to swear not to sue for any reason in order to buy something sounds a bit odd to me. Having to swear not to modify the gun when the builder obviously doesn’t have a problem with BBB modifying his guns is odd too.
