My best fiend had medical problems and his family was starting to slowly starve. I had a .177 cal Beeman R1 and I spotlighted a deer, twice, and hit them in the spinal cord just below the skull. The shot was at around 20 yards and both deer dropped right there. They were still alive, just paralyzed. I had to cut the throat, give them a quick field dress and get the fuck out of there!
The deer meat helped my buddy thru some hard times. PETA would have had me hanged, after I was tortured if they would have found out!

The fact is that I am VERY simple guy. I call black as black and white as white. I don’t care about ANY so called “ethic rules” if I see that they are just an attempts to close ones eyes on the real life. And your example about the dogs in China and chickens in U.S.A. is exactly what I mean. In Russia we describe it as “One wants to climb a fur-tree and keep his ass unscratched”

Do you think I am in panic reading this? Not at all 🙂 I consider that ANY of us has a right to make ANY decision even if I think they are wrong, freedom, you know that word, don’t you 🙂 So I don’t care about the fact if some of weak nervous guys will refuse of buying my gun. I prefer to work for normal people, rather then to try to be good to everybody, or even worse, to follow the rule of a game that I don’t admit! And I don’t accept that shit in you culture is called political correctness. I just don’t care about it. I told before I am ready to destroy my business myself but I will follow the way I consider as a right one and I am not going to follow the crowd just because it gives me money. F*ck them with their stupid rules!
As for meat, everything is OK, the most important thing is to remove the blood from the hulk to keep the meet clean. In this case we have it, since all the blood went out of the blood system through four wholes in the heart and all was inside the body, not in the veins. The meat was very good and tasty, I did tasted it already 🙂
Again — the animals are for us, we use them, kill them, eat them (or kill just for fun, like we do with crows and you with the squirrels, by the way do you aware then squirrels are very popular in Russia and are considered as a very nice creatures, and Ted’s video about killing them made a wave of indignation in the Russian segment of Internet). So ALL speculations on that is just an attempt to close own eyes on the facts. I didn’t plan to torture it, you can consider it fallen for the sake of the experience 🙂

I totally agree and was not saying it should have the same rights as deserving humans… Most Americans say that the Chinese shouldn’t eat dog because they are raised in cages while they stuff their face with beef and chicken which are raised in the exact same situations… It wasn’t long ago in America when dogs were never allowed in the house and many animals were treated as tools and were dispatched or eaten when they were no longer useful. Hell, the most abusive people I have seen towards animals are the dog owners themselves. I respect your objectivity Ed, it’s refreshing to hear…
I can see it as an experiment but one that is probably better left off youtube or at the very least not under your name as a manufacturer. 😉 Most people view “ethical” hunting as quickly dispatching the animal and yes that is coming from a country that believes in torturing human beings… 😕
On a slightly more technical note won’t a slow death alter the taste of the meat? Or is bacon just fucking awesome regardless. 😆

Well, consider it as a medical test with animals, the result of which is known from the beginning — an animal will die. That hog was supposed to die that morning, no matter which way, it would die anyhow. I don’t consider animals as something equal in rights to people, to be frankly speaking I even don’t consider some people deserves any human rights, I think that sounds very strange for people risen by Western culture, because that culture says that any animal has the same rights as a human being but doesn’t care about thousands human deaths in Libia or Iran or anywhere, brought there by the government they have elected. I am used to that strange thing.
If I had liked that hog died by torturing I would punch it with the nail until it dies. That was just a test, yes, not quite clean but test, mo more. And it doesn’t matter that I knew that this gun was not good enough for that, I just wanted to check it out. Next time I will take .25 and it will be clean. 🙂

Essentially… the general consensus of sportsman is if you don’t reasonably expect to kill something with one shot, then you need a bigger gun.
UNLESS its a survival situation… Which I’m assuming if its being videotaped and no one is called Bear Grylls or Les Stroud that it isnt.
I only shoot .177 right now… Mine was ‘tuned’ also and I am getting 1032 with my Kodiaks 10.19 grains , I also shoot a few korean brands and the ‘arrow’ that are heavier.
Ok, good to hear, I was wondering after seeing the regurgitation of the Gamo numbers, I can’t believe they actually post up data that is such garbage.
Out of curiosity what are you getting with heavy 22 pellets. Saw a ‘tuned’ video and the guy was getting 980 fps with 14.2 grain pellets… Which is actually pretty decent for the pellet. I suspect an 18.5 grain ‘heavy’ would be right around 950-925fps which is just about ideal for the caliber and pellet. Not too shabby for a piston break barrel actually! 😯

I only use Lead. HAHAHA and I agree with the heavier pellet statements. I Have no need to argue with you, I have 2 chronos and use them frequently to get accurate readings on TRUE velocities.

I only looked at the first video. It was a small pig. Looked at the ‘big’ one and he is shooting at maybe 10 yards, looks more like 10 feet… I’d like to see him even hit the pig at 50 yards with pba ammo at 1600fps…
Those “numbers” are how shall I put it politely, utter bullshit… With light pellets anyone can get super high velocities the problem is at anything further than 10 yards your not going to group well at all.
I can shoot a sub 1/2″ group at 50 yards with 10.9 grain 177 pellets at around 900 fps muzzle velocity. I don’t think you’ll even get 12″ groups at 50 yards with the PBA ammo in 177…
Point is shooting at under 1050 is the most practical and shooting heavier pellets for the caliber will get you more accuracy and energy down range.
