I suspect he is shooting jsb heavies 18.5gr at around 900+ fps… I doubt your Gamo is doing much more than that… 😉
The hogs I was hunting were mostly headshots. i take it that this wasnt>? The velocity of the Gamo was significantly higher than the Matador also.
It takes quite a FEW shots, ten or so, maybe more, maybe a couple less…
I could kill it faster with a hammer no doubt about it.
@synopsys again I want to see the video so i’m not just speaking through my ass. But those halal and filipino videos are very graphic also and deffinately NOT humane. They are beat and slaughtered
@! the rest of you, don’t be so quick to judge. If its just out of fun and not for a meal, I might be a little concerned. BUT from viewing Ed’s other videos, I would draw the conclusion that he does it to put meat on the table! In most country’s, hogs are a pest and cause massive property damage. He is a grown Man, making grown up decisions, NOT a child needless killing out of pure spite.
I did not see the video….. If anyone pulled it, and re upped it somewhere. Maybe on a file sharing site, like megaupload, fileshare, rapidshare. Or back on youtube with the hunting disclaimer on it.

Animals ARE in the definition of humane, it doesn’t ONLY pertain to humans. It simply means sympathy for living creatures… Google is your friend.

Ed the video is down… can you upload the video to megaupload or somewhere? I would love to see it. I have killed a pig with a pellet rifle. Matter of fact, I have killed 32 of them in texas with a .177cal (4.5mm) Gamo Hunter Extreme using Kodiaks 10.19 grains…
I killed 2 deer and a few turkeys with the same setup also. The deer were 1 shot 1 kill – proper shot placement – the turkeys have always been a piece of cake and able to get a couple of the other gobblers in the area at the same time due to the low sound it produced after i moderated it.
Humane is as it pertains to humans. Pigs are not human! And please don’t give them human rights or emotions either. They are animals no matter what we think or do to them.
A sledge hammer would be far more humane that a bunch of pellets…
Hunting is one thing and i’m fine with that but what you are doing is not hunting.
Shit why stop there, go shoot a cow next and then an elephant. I’m sure with tin of pellets it would finally fall down… 🙄
