Q:

I want a .25 cal gun but have questions…..

I have a stock Talon SS. What kind of numbers would I see with just a barrel change to .25 and with what length? I really don’t want the long 24″ barrel, I would like to keep the gun with shroud under 44″.

What if I just got a Condor and put a .25 barrel on it with everything else stock and kept the barrel short enough to keep the whole gun with shroud under 44″. What numbers might I see?

Thanks

for the extra weight i used a 1 inch bronze bushing from the hardware store they also had zinc plated steel that work great

Yep I have the same one YN. I’m thinkin these have to be much lighter than the later metal hammers, which leads me to think that maybe a heavier striker weight might be in order for the Condor valve to open properly… or just add more PW pre-load… ?

The hammer is a piece of steel with delrin bushings.

The new ones are – but mine is old and is solid delrin….. very light.

So the hammer is the same on Talons and Condors but the Condors have the extra piece (hammer weight) on the left correct?

Yes. You just need the extra weight. Piece of tubular steel is what it is.

Y/N, is that a talon hammer in front of the add a weight?
what dose just the hammer weigh, is it made out of delrin?

it is a wee bit different from what I have, here is a pic of my stocker

Yeah its a single piece of delrin – older style talon hammer. My 2004 condor had same hammer as your picture. Not sure what current talons have but it isn’t the same as the delrin one I have.

I do have one I am not using. Send me your address in PM and I’ll mail it out tomorrow.

Its just a section of 1″ diameter tube. Here is a picture (thing on the left).

I might have a spare one I can mail you.

Is it just called a Condor hammer and can I get it from Airforce or Mac -1?

You are correct.

Ok, so I have a Blodnob valve on order so there is no need to get the Condor tank now correct?

But I do need a hammer weight still to use the .25 cal effectively correct?

I’m planning on an 18″ .25 cal. barrel as of right now.

Anybody have an answer to my question?

Lee, as far a ‘rainbow trajectory’ is concerned, it really depends on the ranges you plan on shooting. The faster the pellet moves, the flatter it will shoot farther out.
