Importing Cricket into the UK because my FX Bobcat was SHIT!
Hi folks,
Apart from Alex in Cyprus, and Websales in Finland, does anyone know of any other company that will ship me a Cricket into the UK in a speedy manor?
There’s gunsworld in Cyprus, but they’re not mentioned as an ‘official’ dealer on the Kalibrgun website, so not sure if they’re any good
Sold my FX Bobcat and now I’m airgunless 🙄

Now, I’m not looking for FAC at present, but I’d like to turn the power down or up on my air gun myself, and not have some half arsed attempt of a Cricket, I’d like my model of Cricket the same as the Cricket that gets so much praise from everyone on here(ok, most people)

Go to the “official” KalibrGun Cricket Forum (although THIS is the # 1 Forum,bar none) and read about the new UK importer .. :smilen: His first appearance there is less than stellar – mildly put . :angrymob:
Strange that they list “beech stocks” instead of walnut though.. A mistake perhaps?
According to their video, they weren’t happy with the wooden stocks on the Crickets so someone called LP from Poland is making them custom stocks!
Also, you can get it for £100 cheaper outside of the UK including the cheek piece
LP stocks are a work of Art. Hopefully they´ll start a line of stocks for Crickets. Their prices are very low compared to the Quality of their work.
Items that cannot be sold via post are moderators, barrels, and some parts of actions although this seems to be a grey area.
Complete air rifles are a no no by post, stocks, magazines, and second hand items are ok. Also parts that are “repaired” can be sent to the repairer and returned by post.
I am sure that someone could get an airgun shipped over in bits and assemble it here, but I feel certain that somewhere along the line Big Brother will get sight of something and a knock on the door before dawn will be the result. The ensuing prosecution would be far more costly than a mere airgun would be worth.
I suppose it comes down to the item description on the package, LDC comes to mind as a good obfuscation without it being a lie.
It is however ok to post air rifles and moderators etc to another person aslong as you don’t sell them as part of your business.
Low powered air guns are allowed to be imported. FAC air guns are not and you have to apply for a permit

Just curious about this topic…I understand the FAC rules (12ftlbs or less in a rifle 6 for a pistol) in the UK. But lets say you found a used Cricket or even someone to help send you one from the US or another country. Is there laws preventing you receiving the “parts” of the airgun? Air reservoir in this package….a stock in this package…a barrel in this package…etc etc. I’m not suggesting anything illegal just a loophole.
Here in CA…handguns have to meet certain requirements to be approved on the CA DOJ list of approved handguns. However any handgun that can only fire a single shot is exempt from the list. So for handguns that haven’t been added to the list, gun dealers will sell you the handgun with a modified magazine that allows 1 round thus exempting that handgun. After 10 day waiting period you can go pick up your handgun….put it in your car….walk back into the gunshop and buy 10 round mags separate :biggrinn:

BAR in UK advertise the Cricket on their website. In my experience their service is excellent. The rifle is “out of stock” at the moment but the owner, Lloyd, will be able to give you the full story re availability.
I would love to own one of these bullpups, but lack of spares and service support in the UK puts me off. Edgun looks good too, but for now I’ll stick with my Air Ranger. At least I can phone or email Daystate and get an answer immediately to any problem that arises.
Its the same cricket but it has the reg wound down and its fitted with a lighter hammer spring.. you will just need the heavy hammer spring to get more power than 17ftlbs..

I know there’s a distributor in the UK and that they will be going on sale in the next month or so, but I read on their FB page, that the FAC model will be 17ft lb, because anything above that will be inconsistent…WTF are these ‘special’ crickets that they’re importing? What the hell have they done to them?

They are rifles. not BOBcat. First one is the FX Elite in .25. The one that Harry in Autralia is raving about. The second one is the FX Boss, The first (maybe the secong) .30 caliber rifle to hit US shores.
They are both in my safe, dont get much action hunting or targeting.

I sold both my BC and My 500 . got a RAW HM1000x. build quality customer service.. best that i have seen not sure how much better it can get.
I will be getting one of them H5’s S/A when they are available..

They’ve already been delayed for months and now he’s injured his hand so it’s going to completely slow it all down even further, because he checks EVERY one and makes a test certificate for it 🙄
