Should be here next week. Can’t wait to put it through some tests and modifications.
It’s a 177 so it will be fairly rare in the USA. Hoping it is set to shoot JSB 10.34 grain Exacts at around 900fps.
If not i’ll certainly be posting a few questions regarding adjusting the regulator and stuff.
I’ll be shooting silhouettes (off hand) and hopefully some field target too. If all goes well i’d like to shoot it at one of the bigger AAFTA sanctioned FT matches (nationals, state or regional championships). I think it will be a real advantage for the forced off hand lanes.
Once again looking forward to owing a brilliant piece of engineering from Ed. Thanks for your hard work Ed and thanks to Tony as well for putting up with us. 😉

U shoot at 30 or 50X..wow!!
I like 20x, just so I can see how bad and old I am!

On my 10-50x I usually turn it down to 30x after I focus to get the range…
On my 8-32x I don’t do anything. 😉
At 50x I think it actually makes it harder to be still.
Silhouettes are shot at 20, 30, 35 & 45 yards.
Field target off hand lanes are usually 5/8″ to 1 1/2″ kill zones at 10 yards to a max of 40 yards. Typically the further away the larger the kill zone, sometimes the person who set up the course is feeling particularly evil and will stick a 3/4″ kz at 35+ yards.
I originally wanted a Matador Long for shot count and the 24″ barrel. Ed doesn’t manufacture them that way though… I think I should get 70+ shots in a fill with a small spread without too much fuss.
Thats cool. I keep thinking about 177 for the sparrows and chipmunks. Also nice and quiet I suspect. Offhand geezzz. Thats tough. What scope mag setting do you go up to for offhand?
Usually the 177 Matadors go to the UK because of the 12fpe limit. Not sure what convinced Ed to send one my way but I sure am grateful. 😀
You will have Matador in cal.177 ? I have never seen it before. I´m curious.
