Installing a Weaver rail on underside of Standard Cricket Ta
Hello from wet and grey Scotland
I am new to this particular forum as I have only recently ordered my cricket based on my friends advice.
I have ordered all my equipment, however I have seen pictures on here of 11cm Weaver rails mounted on the underside of the stock.
I have ordered one from Germany for 9 pounds UK, which seems OK.
How should I attach this rail to the stock? The bolts which come with it look like fairly short wood screws.
Many thanks and should I buy the fake bipod mount from China that has had good reviews on here?

I used low profile M5 allen screws, drilled thru the fore stock, loctited the nutts on the inside. Just measure carefully and keep it in the middle.

The synthetic stock on the Cricket has a hollow space beneath the air cylinder, so you can either screw it in, or drill a couple holes and use flat headed bolts and lock nuts.
Either way, the syn stock will carry the load.
Bi-pod…The Atlas has about six adjustments to make before you can shoot. The dang thing adjusts angles forward, backwards, pans, swivels, locks up down and sideways, plus you can adjust for 1,000 different heights! Just get the $30 USD Harris clones. You just snap them down, and lock the legs at what height you want.
Save your money and spend it on whisky and loose women.

As far as I know the synthetic stock is solid. So I wouldn’t worry about drilling into a hollow piece of material. Just be sure to start a pilot hole.
Where in Scotland are you from? I’d like to see Scotland one day.

The Atlas is far more adjustable but i think the biggest benefit is the fact it “suspenses” the weight of the gun (once the legs are pointed forward in 45 degrees) much better than a regular Bipod – like Harris – that has the legs pointed straight downwards in 90 degree angle.
Wise words regarding the bipod.
What benefits does the atlas offer over the smallest model in the Harris range.? I have a Harris on my daystate regal but I do not know much we all about Atlas.

If you are asking about the Atlas copy, I wouldn’t recommend any Chinese knockoff. Yeah some will argue that the company has the rights for “airsoft” reproduction. But are you gonna use the same scope that came on a airsoft sniper rifle on your Cricket? “Tak’ the high road” buy the real deal….you’ll be happier in the long run. 😉

Depends on the rail but I used M5x16 and it is as you can see flush with the nuts.
