Hum …. so how much for SST holder $23 ?
Hey have I been pushing you too work to hard lately ?

– Greg

I realize the SST is mounted up-side down but it aids in the insertion of the SST. Trust me.

Okay, you’ve asked for it. I’ve debated. Now available for .25 caliber Taipan veteran and will be working on the .22 once I get my good friend’s .22 single shot tray in my possession. Treat these as part of the pricing scheme as the mag holders.

1 pc $20 shipped
2pcs $35 shipped
3pcs $40 shipped
4pcs $50 shipped
5pcs $55 shipped
6pcs $60 shipped

Past buyers I’ll knock off $3 for shipping if you decide to get in on a SST holder to offset repeated shipping cost. In other words, I’ll meet you halfway.

This has now truly become a holding “system”.

Hey Greg, there’s also mention of your idea of the single shot tray mount but instead of the location your pic provided, it was mentioned by buldawg perhaps having it adorn the Taipan in a mag holder slot. It would fit. That’s a definite item to design. I may just play with the notion when I get time. Same gentleman would like to see a fill probe holder but that is a different story. I do have ideas for that too, but they may or may never be realized. But again, a SST holder in a mag holder spot makes for an even MORE modular SYSTEM. :tag:

.

There you go goofing off again instead of working.

For walkabout shooting/pesting I use the holders on the right side more so.
Off the bench rest, the left side.

One piece 3 on one side would be hard and cost a bit more to replace if it somehow it gets damaged.
Unlike the modular design you can replace just the damaged one.

On anti-cant level it needs to be adjustable to be leveled with the horizontal radical in the scope.

On the single shot tray if you can some how make a holder to hold it here under the rear OB (so it won’t take up a mag bay) would be cool if you can print a shot tray too.
Because I would hate to loose the OEM one made of aluminum out in the sticks and hard to replace I would think.
So a holder and a shot tray to match and sell as a set would be an idea to sleep on …… with replacement trays for past buyer only.

I would not trust any type of holder that simply clips onto the barrel such as these do to hold level. Not even close. Definitely go with a picatinny rail mounted or scope mounted level for that. Definitely. These holders are made from PLA and variances will exist. I’m placing faith in Taipan and Kalibrgun’s manufacturing tolerances to be standard and not stray outside of a few thousandths of an inch. Otherwise I would have had to provide for more slop. I did incorporate a small amount just to be safe. But I’ll bet their standards will not disappoint as we all know.

I could make a single insert with 3 mags on each side but would probably want to charge an extra fee. But really, the modular design opens options to you. What if you’ve got 3 holders on each side and then decide you want to shave every last ounce or gram of weight and mount only 1 or 2 holders for that particular day? You wouldn’t be able to with a one-piece design. Sure, perhaps you’ll keep these on permanently, I can see that as well, but really consider going the modular route. Either way you can pm me or email me at Bizill@msn.com and we can discuss this further as I’d rather not keep these as a sales part.

Back to the modular aspect, consider Greg, GKU or “the man” and his Mutant pictured above. He’s got 3 mags on one side and 2 on the other and I just tested that on my Veteran and it looks even better in person than it does in his pic. Really, it is a great setup.

Or if you only have 2 mags and want one on either side then you can do that as well. Now making holders for various other items…that might be something. For those of you out in cold regions I can whip you up a lip balm holder! LOL. Be seriously, the idea of holding other items is worthy of some thought. Thanks for the brainstorm material.

Thanks for the videos showing how well these work. I think your design is the best mag holder system there is. They blend in perfectly on the gun and look like part of the gun. I would not be surprised if you could contact the Taipan company or maybe some of the dealers that sell the guns and sell them direct so they can include at least one with their gun straight from the factory. It is such a good design that I think it would actually help the guns sell even better.

Could you combine 3 into one? By that I mean that each holder would hold 3 magazines per side. I would like to buy 2 that way and put one on each side.

You could make these hold other things also such as hammer spring adjusters, single shot tray, maybe even have one that holds small round bubble level for Mutant owners to check for level before taking shot.

Below is a amazon link to some bubble levels that I am talking about. You could make a holder that these would just snap in. These are .89 each but I am sure that you could find some much cheaper on ebay.

Their is many things that your holders could be converted to do.
