Is it safe to use WD40 as a lubricant in a PCP?
I was plinking in the rain and noticed that the sliding bolt in my s16 became stiff the following day. I wanted to know if it’s safe to use WD40 to lubricate the bolt? My only concern is that it is might ignite? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah Lang, you never put your age up on the ‘How old are we’ thread. So are u gonna tell huh? Are ya, are ya??
I think tag has worked well, I got you sweetheart. 😉
The way you word your comments makes me think older. The actual comments makes me think young. So which is it?
Are you an old grumpy man or a rebellious young kid?
49 IIRC
And Lama.. You’ve been warned before… Don’t use TAG for this, use the personals if you want to pick up men !
Lang, how old are you?

Believe me, that’s the reeeaaal polite way of saying it. 😆 I’m kind of disappointed but not suprised, if you know what I mean. Could just as easily have been used as a bridge than a trap.
Oh so now your playing the game? Yet the other time’s you were whining like a little girl.
That’s how good I am. Had ya going, huh? 😆 😉
If you’d like to learn how to really play chess PM me. You chaps have a great game going here but you could use some pointers.

Apparently I know how to set a lure and bring the quarry into the light. Hmm? 😉

Yeah, that old “good natured ribbing” seems to cover a lot of ground, don’t it?
Maybe in his case it was. I’d have to take a poll to check everyone else. Assuming all of them still come here. But then we can only guess why people come and go, some never to return.
The Japanese have a saying: Deru kui ga utareru. (The nail that sticks up gets hammered down). Lucky I’ve got a tough head, eh? 😆

CLASSIC!!!!!!!!
Sirj,
you should know better.
Until information like that is implanted genetically at conception there’s no reason why he should until he learns.
One way of learning is by asking others who have already learned themselves.
Good teachers (requires a modicum of humility) teach without being condescending. I know, the ego doesn’t get so much fun from doing it that way, but if it stops new members from leaving hardly before they’ve arrived it can only be a good thing, no?
I guess that’s a long-winded way of suggesting you lose the superior attitude. Not everyone is an expert on everything Adam, know what I mean?
Lang,
Sirj is an old friend of the TAG and TOG and he came for an answer and got it with some good nature ribbing.
Now stop loosing your blob over everything.

Like it has been mentioned on here before, no dont use that wd40 stuff on this, as it could burn baby burn! (well ignite, but the burn baby burn bit sounded better) the trusty divers grease is whats needed (available from all good diver shops 🙂 ) and only a few dabs with a toothpick or matchstick.
