Is it safe to use WD40 as a lubricant in a PCP?
I was plinking in the rain and noticed that the sliding bolt in my s16 became stiff the following day. I wanted to know if it’s safe to use WD40 to lubricate the bolt? My only concern is that it is might ignite? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here’s another reason WD-40 may not be good. WD has a “Carrier” element in it to help it spray easier, and for it travel easier inside parts. This carrier soon evaporates, leaving the remaining lubricant somewhat sticky which isn’t good. This also means dust, dirt ect could adhere to it. So none of this is much good for most parts of a AG.
