Is shooting up into the air safe?
Adam made me wonder, but if you’re taking a shot at a crow in a tree and you’re pointing at like a 60 degree angle, would that bullet be dangerous while it’s falling? 🙄

Now I am not saying that everyone should go out and do this or that it is right but, mythbusters did a show about this very thing. and said if you fire a gun at 90 degrees straight up it does not have the energy to be deadly.
So the Gases propel the Bullet into the air. Gravity starts to slow it down. the bullet loses it’s terminal velocity and falls at the same rate as gravity.
But that is if you fire 90 degrees into the air.
Yeah, it can be dangerous. Every year during the NEW YEAR holiday in Texas, the news stations always preach to folks about shooting up in the air. That projectile comes down with some serious force. Although pellets are lighter and don’t go as high in the air as say a powder burner, the air current does carry that pellet for a ways.

Always know what is behind the pellet. It is dangerous and can be harmful.
It depends on what it hits on the way down.
