Jim Shockey shooting aimlessly?
I was Just watching Jim’s show and he shot a pig with a Benjamin Rogue. The slow-mo looked like he hit him in the head. Jim usually shoots-em behind the shoulder, so I cant help but to wonder if thats were he was aiming this time as well 😆 😆 😆

I have heard in the bar bathroom here that Crosman approached Butcher to make a call for them that sounded like a can of dry corn rattling. 😉
Butcher of course being a fair chase hunter declined the offer.
Butcher shot a fair chase bobcat a couple of years ago, he hunted for a few years, probably walked at least a hundred miles and called a few hundred places before he got his bobcat in a unguided, non hound hunt. Something to be very proud of indeed.
I caught hell on the Adventureinairguns hunting forum for critcizing high fence hunts. In hundreds of coyotes, fifty elk, a dozen or so antelope and two or three hundred deer, and a few bear and bobcats thrown in, I have always scouted for weeks on end and hunted where I found the sign.
I trapped when I was a kid, but did not count those as gun kills.
I hunted two years before I got a shot at an elk and it was only after scouting every week for three months and then the next two months keeping tabs on where they were. I got my first elk the first hour of the that season.
I started calling coyotes when I was 15, and killed my first coyote at 15 but did not make my first kill calling until I was 19 or 20.
I was told on adventures that there was not a bit of difference between high fence hunts and fair chase nonguided hunts on public land in the skills of the hunter.
Being the quiet understated guy I am, they did not care for my reply.
It all started with me objecting to certain posters recommending cast sptizer bullets for big game on that site.

Thats good RC. The only thing I would add is an Airhorn for him to blast right after the shot to insure the critter hits the fence nice and hard. Now that would be some good TV. 😯 😆 😆
5:00 PM Picked up by guide at airport.
Get drunk with guide at lodge.
Guide wakes me at 5:00AM for breakfast.
Guide leaves me at stand at 7:00 AM and puts corn in feeder.
7:10 shoot deer/hog/elk with company’s newest rifle, wound deer/hog/elk but it runs 15 feet and hits the 10 foot fence and breaks neck.
9:30 AM post adventure of the hunt on Adventureinairguns forum, while waiting for flight out at airport, about what a great hunter I am and how good the Rogue is.

Saw one of his shows where his daughter shoots a whitetail with a BP rifle. For some reason they never showed the dead animal below the eyes, I suspect that shot made quite a mess or something happened where they didn’t want to show it.
I’ve seen a bunch of these types of shows and this one stood out as odd.
He kept saying what a great shot it was too… 😉
Many of these “hunting” shows are like “camping” in an rv. Get off the atv, walk a few yards and shoot something. 😆
There are a few where they do a serious trek and then they start to wonder how they will get the massive animal they just shot back to the truck. That’s hunting!!! 😆 😆
